Amistad was on TV this morning. I only got to see the last little bit of it, but what a moving film! I must take the time to sit down and watch my DVD again. I had forgotten what a great movie it was.
Did it move you strongly? What did you think of the movie? How many times have you seen it? How does it rank among movie greats in your own mind?

It was definitely a good movie! The thing that made the biggest impact on me, other than the subject matter itself was how one of the slaves became a believer in Christ!
I have only seen the movie once. The movie rates on one of the better ones on my scale. It has been a long while since I have scene it though, so it is hard to judge where it rates.

We were just discussing the movie earlier today. We were watching The Great Debaters last night and son mentioned that he watched the last few minutes of Amistad on TV. I've seen this a few years ago and I told son that when it airs again on TV that we can watch it together. It's a great movie and very few movies that I get really evolve and this is one of them.
