Hey ladies,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a anti-itch or cortizone cream suitable for that "special area". I tend to have this problem when Aunt Flo arrives, but it happens at other times too. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Cannistan is pretty good. Do you have lanacane there?

You may want to try natural yogurt though.

Kinda depends what is causing the itch though. If it's thrush, it could require a little more than an external cream. I suspect the same may be said for other problems that cause itching too.

Oh, you need to be looking at what soap and bathing routine you have. Showers are better than baths and you may want to stop using perfumed soaps.

I just get some generic creams and use them (only if they can be used on those areas). Women with vulvodynia are prone to infections for no apparent reason, so I'm used to it. I wish with the rashed would go away. Nothing natural works though, and I'm doing nothing to cause the problem; just gotta do what you can.

I don't like showers at all, so I always have a bath. But I found that certain bath products left me with a dryness that then caused an itch. But others didn't, especially if I only used a little. Dove doesn't suit me at all, but Oil of Olay is fine, as are Body Shop products.

I would be very careful of what you use. Some things are not meant for certain areas, and should say so on the box. There are others that are made just for that area, and I would stick with them. =)

Some women find relief with food products that can be applied that help the itch. If you're interested I'm sure you can look online and find some suggestions.
