Status: offline 		I've always wanted my parents to be there when I was baptized, but I guess the longer I wait the more I long to be baptized.

I've asked my Pastor to baptize me this Sunday night. And I am REALLY excited about it, but I just wish my family could be there. When I wanted to get baptized when I was younger my Mother wouldn't approve because my older sister was getting baptized and didn't want to take that moment from her. So I have put it off and put it off because my family has been out of church and I have moved away from home a few times, but now I just think I am ready.

I think I am going to have the bestie take a picture or two and that way I can send that to them! yay :D

Just pondering on whether to wait. I don't think I will, but pondering.

Tell me. Are you worshiping the ordinance of water baptism or Jesus Christ. Baptism is a ceremony that you use to testify to the fact that your old self is buried and that your new man is now risen with Christ. I think you should have the baptism but your parents need to see your regenerated life and the anointing that knowing the Lord gives you.

Status: offline 		Water baptism is something properly done as soon as possible after new birth. In Acts 2 we see thousands being baptized the SAME DAY. (of course they were on the Temple mount where there was some 1500 Mikva pools for the priests)

Just do it.

The way I see it, you mom put yours off because of your sister, so go ahead get baptized and send them the pics.
