Hi Aman_now, Thank you for opening up to all of us who visit this forum. There is not one person on this earth who has done something they regret. Many of those people can carry it around their entire lives never belleving that God has forgiven them. But let me share something with you. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." Romans 5:8-11 When we engage in sin, whether it is taking the life of an animal, venturing into satanism or any of the countless other sins available, we are trying to fill the emptiness inside of us that can only be filled by the life of God. In the passage above it says "while we were still sinners" and "when we were God's enemies." The Apostle Paul, who wrote the letter to the Romans, is telling Christians of what they were prior to Jesus Christ dying on the cross. We were sinners and enemies of God. All mankind is born into this world a sinner. What that means is that we are born physically alive to the world, but spiritually dead to God. I am sure you have heard of the Fall of Man when Adam ate the forbidden fruit. Before Adam ate the fruit he was spiritually alive. He had the very life of God indwelling Him. But, when he chose not to believe God, that life was removed from Adam. Adam died spiritually and death entered the world through his sin. And all of us are born into this world in the image of Adam. Therefore, we end up looking for what can only be found in the life of God through some form of sin. But as the passage continues we see that Christians have been reconciled to God and saved by the life of Christ. God, in His love for us, desired to once again indwell His creation. However, before He was able to do that, He had to deal with the sin that caused that life to leave us in the first place. Therefore, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, the only man who had a life worth giving as a sacrifice for our sins to die in our place. Jesus was the only man ever born spiritually alive to God. Therefore, He was the only man who had a life to give on our behalf. Once Jesus had paid the penalty for our sins, death, God was now able to offer His life, as a free gift, to all who would receive it through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As a Christian we now have been given the life of God, once lost in Adam, as a free gift. And because of the eternal consequences of Jesus' death on the cross, that life will never again leave us. That is why it is called an eternal life. A life that will carry a person through the rest of their physical life and on through eternity, even after we physically die. So, if you are not a Christian, there is good news. God has removed the barrier of sin that once stood between you and Him. However, in order to receive that forgiveness, you must receive God's offer of life in Jesus Christ. Once you receive the life of Christ you receive forgiveness of sins. And, in that life, you will be spiritually resurrected from the dead and one day, in the future, you will be physically resurrected from the dead. Therefore, you still can be saved because God does not want anyone to perish. If you haven't accepted Christ as your savior, I urge you to do it. But, there is nothing wrong with getting all your questions answered. God is patient with you. Remember, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is sin, death, forgiveness, life! Grace and Peace

Thankyou very much for your understanding response, Gracebro I have taken Jesus as my lord and savior. I just spoke to a strong christian friend of myself, and he too went through some of the concerns that I have about condemnation when he first became a christian. He is well versed in biblical knowledge, and told me that there is a huge difference between conviction and condemnation. In that the devil condems where as God convicts. These past things recently welled up inside me and I was forced to confront them. I think now that this was God convicting me. My awful feelings about things I regret is God convicting me. The fears of condemnation are not works of God, they are an attack by the enemy. I feel as though I posted the previous post in a time of weakness, and I don't want to upset anyone on the board, so I will delete the previous post. Aman_now

Hi Aman_now... It is good to know you are a child of God. You didn't have to delete your OP since it have served to help someone else struggling. But, in either case, I just wanted to say one more thing. The Holy Spirit does not convict a believer of sin. If it did then would have to be some resolution for that sin. And as you know, and have stated, there is no condemnation for the believer. What the Holy Spirit does is lead a believer back to the truth of who they are in Christ. Amongst other things, a believer is holy, blameless, forgiven and righteous in the eyes of God. This identity is not based on anything we do, but what Jesus has already done on our behalf. All your sins, past, present and future, were nailed to cross when Jesus died. Because of that one act of love you now have access to the God in your time of need. If your sins were still separating you from God, then you are saying that Christ's sacrifice on the cross was not enough. And I know you don't believe that one bit. Because God remembers our sins no more, we are free to approach Him and learn to trust Him. Subsequently, we end up being dependent on Him as He leads us through life. YBIC Gracebro

Hi! Welcome to the forums. You asked if you could be saved. I don't know what your history is, but the answer is most definitely YES. There is no sin that you can commit that cannot be forgiven. The very fact that you are asking the question means that the Holy Spirit is at work in you.

Jesus came for those that are lost, so thank Him that you recognize that He came for you and you are now found. It's a time for you to rejoice! The past is gone, today is what we have, tomorrow is yet to come. Focus on today. What is it God wants for you today? Then do it. I think you've already discovered that the evil one will try to steal your joy. Don't let him! When I was a new believer he wanted to stifle my joy. I wanted to share my new found faith with others but as soon as I would I would "hear" these words in my mind "Nobody wants to hear what you have to say." Don't listen to the enemy. Persevere through the negative messages. It will get better. I don't hear those words anymore, but I had to persevere through them, not give up. Hang in there. Jesus loves you and is so happy you are beginning to walk with Him! Blessings to you.
