Does any ministry leader here have devotional or resource material for those wrongly convicted? My husband and I really need some help learning how to live with his wrong conviction. Thanks.

Is this conviction from other believers? If so, then it needs to be dealt with from their side also. In the meantime, I don't have any devotional material on this, however here are a few hopefully relevent passages to think about: Luke 6:22: Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake. Matthew 10:25: It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household! Matthew 27:39: Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, Luke 7:33-34: For John the Baptizer came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a gluttonous man, and a drunkard; a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ I Peter 2:23: Who, when he was cursed, didn’t curse back. When he suffered, didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously; Not to say that self-defense is wrong, but there was one Chinese Christian who did not defend himself against false accusations - he just trusted God to vindicate him. Something like David.

ORIGINAL: ppodmama Does any ministry leader here have devotional or resource material for those wrongly convicted? My husband and I really need some help learning how to live with his wrong conviction. Thanks. Jesus was wrongly convicted. So, who better to turn to. It's not about finding the right study tools. It's about asking God to be glorified in your lives. Period. And, He will. I have a friend whose daughter went to a counselor and the counselor, through the now discredited regression therapy 'found' that she had been assaulted by this man, her father. That was years ago and to this day she maintains the memories 'unearthed' are true... even though the therapist lost a similar case involving another father/daughter 'recovered memory' that turned out to be nothing more than therapist manipulation. While not convicted in court, he was certainly convicted by his manipulated daughter and lost all contact with her. It was very sad. But, God is the same to this man whether it turned out well or badly. God remains steadfast and firm. It is we who waiver and sometimes lose faith. So, let me point you to some resources where you can take your eyes off your circumstances and turn them to the Light of the Word, Jesus Christ. http://www.prayertogo.com and http://www.catanddogtheology.com. Lord, we don't know the complete story behind this post. But, you do and that is enough. We ask You to cause ppodmama and her husband to be moved closer and closer to the very center of Your will each and every day. Cause them to be diligent in praying this same prayer for themselves. And, we will give you ALL the Glory as their lives reflect your love and peace. As I prayed the above prayer, it dawned on me that a little book that is available in most Borders Book stores might be helpful to both of you. It's called, "God Calling" and it is the journal of impressions of God's message to two women that faithfully spent a portion of each day meditating on the Word of God. Bringing something peaceful into your life has got to be helpful in lowering your stress and anxiety over this tragic event. It's under $6 at Borders. Christian book stores also carry it. You can learn more about it at http://www.twolisteners.org. May God bless you and your husband as you move on in Jesus Christ.

There is a good bible study by Prison Fellowship on Joseph. Life of Joseph You can print it out and send it to him. Can you appeal the conviction? Peace, Anne
