My Pastor approached me tonight asking if I would implement a security plan. Our church is a growing church that is well known in the community. We have lots of visitors every Sunday. I would dare to guess that on an average Sunday we have 20-25 visitors that nobody has ever seen before. And sadly in todays society, church security is an issue that must be addressed. I am going to call our county Sheriff tomorrow and talk with him to see if they have someone that can come out and speak to the team that I am going to assemble. But in the mean time, I have goggled "church security plan" and all I have found is agencies wanting to come out and give seminars for high prices. If your church has a plan, can you share it with the forum briefly.

My previous church had an extensive security plan. One thing I would recommend is to pay close attention to the parking lots. It's easy to find out the times of the services which tells outsiders exactly how long cars will be unattended.

We have one, but I'm not sure how it works. We have maybe 10,000+ members, but we don't all attend church. Maybe a third to a half of us attend every Sunday. We have maybe 20-30 guests per service, with three services and there are activities/classes/practices every day. I know our plan is in conjuction with the local police dept., or at least it used to be.
