Status: offline 		I think that whomever oversaw the design should have never approved this. I can see it being offensive and believe it should be discontinued.

Watching athiests and libs get frenzied over stuff like this gets more entertaining every year. It's kind of like watching a cat chase a laser beam dot on the floor, only with a lot more vitriol and frothing at the mouth than a cat could ever produce.

Status: offline 		First thing I thought of was the Penn State football helmet. I find it humorous though when I considered that a Jewish person was quoted complaining about it, that the anti-defamation league is complaining about it, and to criticize anything Israel on this forum can be tantamount to blasphemy in these parts.

Also does anyone even notice the Nike swoosh symbol on the top of the "cross"? If that is a cross that's borderline blasphemy.

Does one HAVE to be offended by a cross at a secular institution? If it's not permitted as a symbol of the school, fine. But being offended by it? Why? Unless you reject what it represents, why is it offensive?

What does the helmet logo look like? I tried searching for it on Penn States web site, but didn't find anyhting close to a cross.

I don't know why, I mean I know the gospels is offensive to those who are perishing, but .... I'm curious as to why fox is bothering with this.

Perhaps we need to define what it means to be "offensive."

Do we regard someone being "offended" purely subjugated to that individual, or do we need a more legal way of defining what is offensive?

If you want to aggresively pursue marketing of christianity, i.e. t shirts and billboards and tv shows and radio spots, then you also have to take the criticism that comes with it.

Jesus will offend the world. If you're out there with Jesus, you're going to get this kind of opposition.
