In an effort to save money, I'm in need of some granola bar recipes. My hubby loves granola bars but it's getting costly! I love to bake...so why not make some home made ones? I'd like any granola bar recipe...chewy, crunch, with nuts, without, etc.

I have a recipe for them, but I used to add a few things to it to make it a little tastier! They are GI friendly Homemade Granola Bars 1 1/3 C Whole Wheat flour 3 1/2 Tbsp Fructose (or honey, or other sweetener) 2 tsp Baking Powder 1/4 C Wheat Bran 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Allspice 1/2 tsp Ginger 1/2 tsp Salt (opt.) 1 1/2 C Oats (not quick cooking oats) 1 C Dried Apricots, chopped 1/2 C Sunflower seeds 3/4 C Applesauce 1/2 C Applejuice 3 Eggs 2 tsp Oil Optional: Feel free to add any or all of the following Almonds Peanut butter chocolate chips coconut etc. Mix well, pour into parchment lined 9x13 pan Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 mins These turn out kinda cakey, not crispy and sticky like a granola bar, but they are tasty, and pretty healthy!
