Although it's currently in pre-production (slated for 2011 release), I'm already tenting my fingers with anticipation over a "Green Lantern" feature film. So far, the main role of Hal Jordan has not yet been cast, but after the fan-made trailer below was released, Nathan Fillion's stock went way up with fans. Hugo Weaving ("The Matrix," "LOTR") is also a fan-fave to play Sinestro. What dost thou think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hTiRnqnvDs

Pretty slick collage there! The creator of that piece pulled clips from every good sci-fi flick from the last 10 years and blended them together pretty well. GL has been one of my top 3 favorite superheroes since I was 5 years old, and I would love to see a well-done film version.

Well, the CG required for the special effects would be no problem. I just hope they cast it well (Fillion/Weaving), and have a decent script. I wish Geoff Johns was writing it; he's the current scribe on GL (the comic), and doing a very good job with the "Blackest Night" story arc.

Nathan Fillion is a good choice. I really like his sci-fi series and his TV series, Castle is great. He would make an awesome choice. Ryan Reynolds? seriously? I mean he was the comic relief in Blade, but Green Lantern? no!!!!!!! LOL

Ryan Reynolds is a good actor I think, but has been typecast as a comedian. I was hoping they were going to go with Bradley Cooper from The Hangover, but I guess not.

Make no mistake - I think Nathan Fillion would have been perfect in the role, but given a choice between Cooper and Reynolds I'd take the former hands-down.
