Imagine Jesus speaking to you in an audible voice you cannot mistake.

What would He say?

"Well done"? "Could do better"? or what ... ?

I doubt I'll get many responses to this thread. But I hope it made some readers pause and think.

I know I did ... and I'm not too proud about what He'd say to me!

There was an old old song along this line:

"What would you do if Jesus came to your house?"

Then it went along the lines of most households.
Hiding the porn magazines, pouring out the liquor,
acting better towards family, etc.

It's so old I don't recall all of it.
But it revealed that the majority are not ready for
an unannounced visit from the Lord.

Fantastic question!
I did hear the audible voice of God once! He said, "He will be saved". A fellow church member confirmed it for me as well, God had told her to repeat to me what he said. It was absolutely amazing!
Anyway, I was grieving a spiritual death of a loved one and it consumed me that they were going to hell. God spoke to me.

Now, I believe, he would say, "well done, my good and faithful servant" to MANY OF US!!! He is not about condemning, HE is about loving! What would we not do, in response to the AMAZING LOVE OF CHRIST!!

HE gets us by HIS LOVE!! He turns our hearts, BY HIS LOVE!!!

thanks for the question!

What would He say?
"I still love you."
I'd reply, "But I don't deserve it!"
"You never did deserve it. That's what makes it love."

If Jesus Christ comes to my home...I would hug HIM, cry to HIM, and never let go...as I long to be with HIM (just like all the rest). Amen.

Amen, amen and amen.

I know I don't deserve it, but he loves me with an unfailing, everlasting love. I may hear some things I won't like, but I know I deserve his critique.

I think He would say;
"Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

I would hate to think Jesus would use that kind of language.

SonInMe1,
I'm not sure if you were talking about my verse?
(If not please forgive me!)
If you were...
I picked this verse because it is one of my favorites!
We are to witness and share the Gospel of Christ with the lost,
and go and make disciples of all Nations! One way to look at it is like; "Fishing" but not for fish, instead for "people" who need to be saved!

I suspect SoninMe1 was referring to my opening post and my use of language of what Jesus might say.

OK ... maybe He wouldn't use these exact words ... although I don't see why not if that's the direct language some people understand ... but that's beside the point - what I was asking is "What would He say exactly about one's life so far and would He have something special to say to us in the 21st Century".

Thank you MrsOliver for your touching story. And also thanx armydude - you're so right. We don't deserve His unconditional love.

Thanx to all contributors.

Jesus is all about talking to the lowest common denominator, I can't imagine He would use ~high-brow~ speak to us. Just words that He knows would affirm us.

I'd die even happier if He spoke to me in ebonics :o

*Sigh* I know that all too well...
