What I want to know is the impression He gives you of who He is, what His personality is like. How do you view Him both personally(by knowing Him) and from a biblical standpoint.

Very gentle and very kind. With eyes that seem to know all about you, and a little smile that is gentle and loving beyond words. An excepting smile. With arms held out and open as though He is jusst waiting for you to run into them. And you know when you will do, you will never feel so safe and at peace. That's how I see Jesus.

I see Jesus as the love of my life! He opened my eyes to see life in a whole new way! No more fear! No more being alone! He shows me the straight and narrow path I must stay on. He shows me so much love I sometimes think I will explode! He shares everything with me. Joy, sorrow, pain, healing, Everything!!! His Words are always on my mind! He makes everything new~ even doing dishes, or washing clothes is a joy because He is with me! He teaches me new things every day! Nothing in the whole world comes close to the joy of knowing Him! Oh, how I wish everyone knew Him and loved Him too! This verse says it best; (Jesus said;) "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Jesus...is God. Creator. The Vine. The water of life. Perfection and example. Jesus is many things including the perfect love. Jesus also will avenge the downtrodden and weak. He will come back as King, and incurr the biggest blood bath of all history. He is just. He is Judge. Lord of lords. Master.

I have experienced, that Jesus is "seen" most clearly through the eyes of need. He becomes to me, as I seek Him in my need, whatever I need Him to be. I pray that does not sound selfish. For the most part, it is the prideful, who see no need of Him, who never see Him. And it is also the ones who have been so sinned against that they are without hope, who do not believe they can come to Him and, therefore, do not come to Him and do not see Him. He, of course is seen through Scripture. However, I have experienced that, it is during my neediest times that I see Him most clearly through Scripture... He is so willing to reveal Himself to any needy, seeking soul!

I see Jesus, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I see Him as strong, loving, firm. I see Him as wisdom, just, and friend. I see Him as tolerant, loving, and accepting, to a point. I don't see Him as a doormat or as a genie. I see forgiveness and love unlike anything we can comprehend. Divine in nature yet so real we can touch and feel Him. Mighty, powerful, comforter, teacher, strength, shield and sword. He is everything I need to make it on this journey towards home.

I see Him with His calloused carpenter hands firmly grasping a gnarled 6 foot length of holy 2 by 4.

Do we all realize how much it blesses the Lord and our Father when we share these things? Oh, how it blesses Him ~But for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame~ Certainly hearing His beloved church give such love words for and to Him must have been part of the joy set before Him!

I have not read any of the answers. So I may be repeating something... I see Jesus and a "real man", as a "man's man". A king. He is powerful and has a presence that is awesome. In a way He scare's me because I know all of my faults and I know how wicked my heart is and I know that my eternal fate is in His hands. In another way I run to Him... to fall at His feet, (as the song says)... in my brokenness complete. I depend on His mercy so much. He is King if kings and Lord of lords. He is almighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. He is the Lamb and the Lion. The beginning and the End. The Creator and the Sustainer and its all by the power of His word. There is none like unto Him. To be in His presence is to fall at His feet. We are transparent before Him and can hide nothing... all we can do is fall before Him for we are His, one way or the other. Julien

I tried to write this very very same thing, but the words just wouldn't come out, so I decided to read what other's wrote and found this is EXACTLY what I was trying to say.

It's funny how I view this statement, impression of who he is. He appeared before i knew who he was, meaning that while i was in darkness he shone his light on me. Even before that he died on a cross for me. To understand his love isn't within my mental grasp of understanding yet. How long is eternity? His personality for me, the green in trees, blue in the sky, blue/green of the ocean, that feeling when we are able to be content. When i am burdened he helps to make my load his, i am in his hands and he is in the fathers hands i am sure of peace. Learning to know him is my only direction. Most of the time i live life and add some Jesus to it, now i am learning that through Jesus there is only one way to experience life, and that of the cross. From a biblical standpoint i say read the Gospels.

Now for the big question...... Based on you perspective of Jesus, how does that relate to your doctrinal beliefs?

Jesus is the creator who died for his creation even though his creation deserved to die for him. Such love is incomprehinsible to us but easy for God.
