Depends on when they are being noisy.

If it's during the slide show or the previews, I ignore it.
If it's during the actual movie, I try to be patient and give them a chance to be quiet. If they don't quiet down and it is disturbing my movie watching experience, I'll ask them to be quiet if I'm near them. If they still don't quiet down, then I'll go talk to management.

In my experience, the cheaper the theatre and the more empty the theatre, the more troubles with noisy audiences. I've only had to speak to a manager one time, and it was at a dollar theatre in the ghetto. I asked them to be quiet, they threw popcorn at me, I gave them 20 min of the movie to be obnoxious, I then went to the manager and got refunds and got the kids kicked out.

I'll usually be patient and wait for them to be quiet, but if that doesn't work then I just resort to telling them nicely to be quiet.

I would just go right to the management. Hey..I paid to watch this movie, not listen to rude people or kids!

If the "mothers glare" doesn't work, then I ask them to hush.
If that doesn't work, I go to the manager.

"De-deda-lu-de-deda-lu-de-du-DIE!"

Dump a soda or candy pack on them.

Nah, JK. I'd yell really loud about obnoxious people in movie theaters.

Totally.

Depends on their age. If they're old I'd probably let it go because they can't hear. "What did he say?" "He said he's going to kill her!" "He said he's got a pill for her?" NO! He's going to kill her!" "Drill her!? Why would he drill her? She doesn't have a drill!" "Will you turn your hearing aid up!?" "No, I don't need air in my cup! Are you crazy!?"

If they were young I would shush them to the point of embarrassing my children. By then the Things are begging for them to shut up so I would quit embarrassing them.

Ahhhh...the joys of motherhood...where we've learned we won't die of embarrassment but our kids haven't figured it out yet.

Quite honestly I've become quite adapt at blocking out talkers at movies. After having 4 kids that are tend to all talk at the same time, it gets pretty easy. I find it more irritating the person that sits behind you and kicks your seat! Or the person that gets up 87 times during the movie and places their hand on the back of your seat EVERY time pulling your hair! The last movie I was at I actually turned to my husband and said rather loudly that I was soon going to have a bald spot on my head if the guy behind me kept pulling on my hair everytime he got up! Typically the "Mom Glare" works on talkers around here. My husband has actually directed talkers to the nearest coffee shop if they would like to have a place to talk that wouldn't totally iritate others that are trying to actually watch the movie!

Blessings,

Garsy

I give them the GLARE and then if they still remain clueless I will tell them to be quiet.

I'd rip off their head then puke down their neck.
