Women enjoyed perfume (still do) throughout the OT but one particular fragrance was so speacial that no woman was allowed to use it. God gave the Levites a formula for the perfume that they used in their tabernacle rituals. The ingredients included myrrh and cinnamon. This heavenly aroma was off limits to everyone else. The Law even forbade anyone from copying the scent for personal use (Exodus 30:4-38).
