Has anyone used the Latin Primer and Latin Grammar series? I am trying to decide between that and Latina Christiana and am not finding much in the way of reviews.

Thanks!

Do you have a link to the curriculum?

that "looks" nice. How did you come across it? I am just wondering as I didn't get to go to the curriculum fair and was hoping to see and paw through many different types of elective materials.

I flipped to the section in my Rainbow Resource catalog that covered Latin, lol. I am also looking at THIS ONE but the catalog has a much better description.

I was wondering about this this one, but I wouldn't know a good Latin course that can be mostly self taught if it bit me on the nose. so I am interested to see what kind of responses that you get.

I have used Latina Christiana. We dropped it due to being overloaded, but it was fun when we did it. The kids enjoyed it very much. I am going to try it again this year with MM, who is eleven and will be twelve by Christmas. TL will be doing Rosetta Stone Latin. Mr. Manly and NG will be doing Prima Latina, which is the same program as Latina Christiana, but for younger kids.

We are finishing up Prima Latina and switching to Latin for Children for the coming year. I am not really all that impressed with Prima Latina, but it was OK as an introduction. Latin for Children is supplemented with a DVD that I'm hoping will make a difference for us. It's also supposed to work well with Shurley English, which we also use.

Don't know if that helps, but fwiw.

Blessings,
Lucinda

Latina Christiana has a teaching DVD that can be purchased for the program. I found it to be really good when we used it, although the cinematography could use improvement.
