Any fans of Lewis Black, a comedian who appears on Comedy Central, The Daily Show and performs stand up? I'm a big fan of his anger & histronics at all the stupidity around us politically, socially and "medially" (I know but it rhymes)

I'm sure some are put off by his course language (I kinda understand), his liberal philosophy (he actually slams both sides on stage but he is a socialist, I never personally understood why being a Christian meant having all Conservative principals, even economic), and his occasional anti-religious rants (I totally get this reason but it doesn't bother me personally).

So is Lewis Black "The Root of All Evil"*, an extremely funny guy or a source of total apathy?

Hope this is in the right forum, they don't have a stand up forum.

* Black hosts a series on Comedy Central called "The Root of All Evil". I love it. Two comics debate which is worse. Examples include the Catholic Church vs Viagra and Paris Hilton vs Dick Cheney.

Yep Lewis Black is great. A lot of the time I find my self considering the issue instead of just laughing. Really makes you think.

Absolutely. Though usually I'm too busy laughing to consider the issue. I do find myself thinking 'he's right' many times', even if I disagree with the larger point (like the religious stuff, more like that makes sense but I don't agree).

Thanks for replying.

I'm a big fan of his, too. It takes a lot to offend me, so I don't mind the language. I really enjoy the commentary, and how everything makes him "mad."

I've not seen his new show. I guess I should take a look.
