I posted this in another OP, but didn't get any answers, so I thought that I would start a new OP and maybe someone would notice it. I saw information about the Liberty Home Bible Institute where a person can earn a two-year degree in Bible study. It is totally done at home using the books and CD's supplied. The cost is $1250.00, or $950.00 if a person pays the total at one time. I have a strong desire to get in a Bible Study where people really study the Word of God, but so far have not been able to find this. People get together to study, but before you know it, it has become either a social meeting or a therapy session for one person who is having problems. I want to study the Bible in depth. So this program caught my interest and I wish I knew someone that has done this and could tell me whether or not they enjoyed it, thought it was a good program, would recommend it, and so on. Anybody know about it? Should I start another OP just for this question?

Yes it is. It's a home study to get a 2-year degree.

Guess no one knows anything about it since no one has answered. I don't want to spend money and commit to their program without hearing from someone else that has done it. I know that if I call them, they will, of course, tell me how wonderful it is. I have heard great things about Liberty University, but just don't know about this home study course.

I hope I'm not too late GrannyofSix. I recently purchased the Liberty Home Bible Institute for my family. I'm currently working through the elective on biblical counseling, and I find the text and the lectures to be very beneficial. I can tell you that I am very pleased with the quality of the materials. This is a self-paced diploma program that is affiliated with Liberty University. In fact, once you successfully complete the course, you will be invited to walk at graduation. The website also indicates that there is a process by which you can earn college credit. The link to the website is: http://www.lhbionline.com/ I hope this information is helpful.

i don't know anything about their home program, but I have visited the campus through their college for a weekend program as a teen. It was a wonderful campus and they said they have regular things like concerts and stuff like that. I was totally excited...only to learn we did not have the financial means and I was not able to apply. Instead, i had to go to the PSU branch campus 5 minutes from my house.... however, i wouldn't trade it because I met the love of my life there. If i had went to Libery's campus, we would have not met. <3 That was my Liberty University experience. I would first however find out of those are accredited... i mean i know Liberty then why is the name of the school different?
