I'd never heard of LL before . Thanks for the link!! I checked it out and from what I saw this may be just what we need for dd's 7th grade LA. What did you like and dislike about the program? I've been looking for a good LA program and just found an anything yet.
I've already ordered Daily Grams for her grammar but don't have anything yet for literature and writing.
When it first arrived I felt overwhelmed. BUT then I opened up the TM and saw that it was all laid out. It comes with a schedule of what to do each week and I give a copy to my child. On Monday's my child did the assigned work for the week. I only use the TM to grade the assignments, I've never needed it for anything else. I like how they are use books instead of a text. We didn't normally do the crosswords at the end or any of the 'extra' assignments. It says to do these if their is time, and normally thier was no extra time. My child liked pretty much all the books, we also picked up the audio books from the library. We fininished in about 25 weeks instead of the 36 that it says. We will continue to use this for the rest of hs'ing.
We will also be using Daily Grams and Apologia's Jump In.

Jump In Helps develop writing skills, an area that needs extra help here. ;)
We just finished the General Science and it was really good! Don't forget to get all the free worksheets and extras from the yahoo groups to use with it! Apologia_Science. When you get on just click on the 'files' link.

I should add that you may want to check around to see if Jump In is appropriate for your children. It does have some rather mature topics, though they are from a Christian perspective. I believe it is geared towards 5th-8th grade, though I would lean towards the high end of those grades. If you are looking for something along the lines of helping with writing also, we used Wordsmith Apprentice and it was wonderful. Just a thought.
Thanks for the warning. My dd is 12/7th grade so we're probably ok.
How much writing does LL include? Do you feel you need to supplement with a writing program as well? I got the impression that LL had a good bit of writing assignments included. I'm certainly not opposed to any additional writing and want her to excel.

Thanks for posting the site. I just checked it out and found Winston Grammar Advanced Set listed. Has anyone ever used this? I am planning a curriculum for 9th grade and might include this and also add a writng program.
