Is this a good commentary or is it too biased?

Opinions?

I've always found his commentary to be a useful tool.

That's good enough for me! Thanks.

I believe Matthew Henry is a good commentary. I prefer Jamieson, Fausset & Brown, but have nothing against Matthew Henry.

Truth be told, there is no sutch thing as an unbiased commentary. Having said that, i think it's a fine one over all, we may not agree on all points.

Matthew Henry is probably my favourite commentary of the Bible. I like it because some commentaries can get too technical or theological that they have little relevance to day to day living, and although MH's commentary is very indepth, it still has a great devotional quality about it, and he emphasizes your personal relationship with God, trusting Him, etc.

I would guess that's probably true of pretty much every commentary or Bible teacher.

what are the problems

well mostly with his analysis of several passages mostly in Genesis and Job and other places where he tends to anaylze more word for word and not taking all in context with other verses which tend to suggest differently
