Does anyone use this Bible? What are your opinions of it?

It's probably the KJV edition of the NIV Study Bible. The NIV Study Bible is pretty good.

No, it isn't the KJV version of the NIV Study Bible. The NIV Study Bible is published by Zondervan. the Nelson NKJV Study Bible is published by Thomas Nelson publishers. I think that's what you are talking about isn't it? If so, its a great study Bible. It has good commentary and charts and it also has little word studies. There is a King James Study Bible, I don't remember if Nelson publishes it. I haven't used it at all, so I don't know about it. But, I have used the Nelson NKJV Study Bible. You like the NKJV, I think you would do really well with this study Bible. God has used it to teach and bless me.

I picked up a KJV translation Thompson's Chain Reference Bible third edition (1934) at a yard sale. From what I can see (I haven't had a lot of time to look it over yet) it looks to be a pretty complete study Bible, but I still prefer my Holman Master Study Bible (NASB translation). Unfortunately they quit pringting the Holman Master Study Bible (under any translation) back in 1985. Tim

But I thought I had seen an NASB Study Bible at one point. I thought the notes looked similar/same as the NIV Study Bible. I assumed someone had written a KJV one.

Yes, Zondervan also publishes the NASB Study Bible with the study notes from the NIV Study Bible. As far as I know, they never produced a KJV version. I did a little checking, and the KJV Study Bible is published by Nelson and some internet links call it the Nelson Study Bible. But, I don't think it has the same notes as the Nelson NKJV Study Bible. Jordan, it depends on what you are looking for. The Nelson NKJV Study Bible has more notes, and more types of notes than the Ryrie Study Bible and the Thompson Chain Reference Bible. The word studies delve a little bit into the Greek and Hebrew languages. You don't need to know those languages to understand the notes, they are written for those who don't have any knowledge of the original languages. I think they help bring more understanding to the passage. The Thompson helps in doing topical studies.

Both Nelson and Zondervan publish a KJV Study Bible.
