Hey I was just wondering if anyone was going to see New Moon when it comes out? I will probably go see it with my sister.

The Twilight Series is an absolute guilty pleasure of mine, but yes, I am very excited to see it when it comes out.

Yep! Only 13 days away -- technically 12 if we're going to the midnight showing. DH is a movie addict.

My girlfriend is dragging me to see it. I barely made it through the first one! I'll entertain myself by making fun of it and feeling the sting of a palm-print on my face every five minutes!

Naw... the first one wasn't THAT bad, but it's not something I'd watch on my own. I'm sure I'll be entertained by the second one, but I don't expect it to be a favorite film of mine. I'm going to see it that Friday night.

I think the second one is going to be a better film.

New Moon looks to be far better than Twilight. My dd and I have tickets to the Thursday midnight showing. My son and DIL bought our tickets for birthdays about a month ago so we're meeting them and a host of others. Last I heard our theater as 4 our of 12 screens set to show it at the midnight showing. Sounds like quite an opening night for my small town. We too, are looking forward to it. I enjoyed New Moon more than Twilight so we'll see. Anxious to finally see the Volturi once and for all. Marcus appears to be rather creepy but Aro looks to be a formative foe. Caisus, who knows but Jane is one to see as well.

Volturi = one of the best parts of the Twilight series, IMO.

Yes...she should write a series about them.

I thought the same thing about the "librarians" from the Anne Rice vampire novels. There should've been a series about them.

Not in the books I've read.

No. There is a thread about this very topic somewhere in here.

Hey - I really don't like the "new" vampires. Keep them like Dracula: Have to sleep in a coffin, can't see sunlight, can teleport on moonbeams and can transmute into vermin (rats, bats, snakes, insects) and cringe away from a cross or crucifix.

"I never drink.....vine."

Looks like it. My baby is 10 months old, and I've yet to see a theatre movie since her birth. I was royally ticked when HP 6 got moved to the summer instead of Thanksgiving before her birth.

Well, it looks like New Moon will be my first time out. My SIL just had a baby in September, or else she'd be joining me. I actually don't mind the thought of going to the movies by myself.

I have said this very thing! The first movie made me feel like a giddy young girl again.

The werewolf transformations look incredible from the trailer. One of the things I really liked about the books is the origin of the werewolves. It was an interesting story.

So, does each installment of this series introduce a different monster?

1 - vampires
2 - werewolves
3 - Frankenstine?

That would be cool though.

No, but Saturday Night Live did a Frankenstein take-off on Twilight called "Firelight" - it was two weeks ago, when Taylor Swift hosted. She played the Bella character.

I have heard that the 12:01 am showing Friday has booked 10 out of 12 screens in the only theater here in my small town. This is so crazy!

Good thing my dd and I have our tickets already.
