Well, I harvested my new red Irish potatoes Friday. I ended up with around 250 pounds (I planted 50 pounds of seed). I also picked a few Vidalia Onions. My family and neighbors enjoy the potatoes I plant. My sweet corn is around 12 inches high so it'll be late May before it is ripe to harvest. I love new potatoes--scrape the eyes, cut the larger ones in smaller pieces, boil until tender, then drain and add some butter, salt & pepper, just a little milk or cream, then put the lid on top of the pot and just shake them to cover with the sauce and break them up just slightly. Yum.
