We have been faithful tithers for about a year.
My question is: If we tithe with this weeks pay, we wont be able to afford our rent. Should we pay rent or tithe? We have been so faithfull with it that we feel guilty not giving this time.

Our money has been very tight for the past year.

I love you Jesus. You are everything we need.

Tithe. He will take care of you. This is a test.

Let me give more info.

Today, we got a 3 day pay or vacate notice. I talked to the management and told her I will get my unemployment check next week and we will have enough money to pay next Wednesday. She said that was fine.

When I get my checks every week, we always tithe first. Things have gotten so tight and we have fallen behind on things....so if we tithe next Wednesday, we wont have enough to pay rent. If we pay rent, we wont have enough to tithe.

Rent.

Keep a note about how much you "owe" in your tithe, if you are convicted to give a strict 10%, and pay that amount when you have the funds.

God loves a cheerful giver, not a legalistic one. He doesn't need your tithe if it means being evicted.

I know this thread will be closed very soon..........

TITHE!!!

Tithing is about Faith, not money. Communicate with God, out of your mouth that you will give Him first and you will trust Him with the rest. And trust Him, no matter what the rest entails. He saw it well before you did.

I've been in your position. I could write a book about the "rest"
