And dance to it, play it in church, worship to it.

ROCK N ROLL SAVED MY SOUL

See, I can't even say this 'cause God used a jazz acapella group (Take 6) to reach me and turn me from the dark to the light, and at that time rock and roll was doing anything BUT saving my soul...

Thankfully, the Christian Rock of today is so much better than the Christian Rock that I avoided and used to laugh at back in the '80s. I'll take Thousand Foot Krutch, Disciple, Plumb and Flyleaf over Stryper any day.

Sorry. The "rock music is bad" horse died back in 1957. His grandkids have died already......

Um - where were you when Keaggy was killing everyone? He was certainly no laughing matter.

I will too. And this is from someone who took his church youth group many times to see them in their early days. In L.A. I only knew of four CCM acts: Stryper, Trouble, Altar Boys & Carman. Trouble, a Black Sabbath soundalike (except for the vocals) was definitely my favorite of the bunch.

i can't listen to thousand foot cructh without thinking Limp Biscuit. but their first album that came out in 98 or 99 was "we're teh christian limp biscuit" and i've never gotten past that. today i mainly just listen to Tooth And Nail and Solid State.... but i still have a GREAT appreciation for the old greats... the guys in the 80s paved the way so you could listen to Thousand Foot Biscuit. if it wasnt for stryper.... you may be listening to carmen right now.

and id rather listen to Starflyer, Surrogate, Neon Horse, Children 18:3, August Burns Red, Maylene, Demon Hunter, than any of the bands i listed from the 80s.... but thats me.

My kids like TFK more than I. I really liked their first album. Set it Off, Supafly, and Rawkfist were raw. I never listened to Limp Biskit so I'll give them a listenn for the comparison. Just got Welcome to the Masquerade but haven't given it a listen yet.

Since I keep hearing about Maylene, I am going to get me III with my Napster account credits.

I am really enjoying Picket Fence Cartel by Project 86.

III is great, II is better. I'd recommend II first :D

I always thought set it off sounded like the first 2 limp bizkiy records, and I hated those albums. Limp bizkits "results may vary" is phenomenal though. IMO their ONLY good album.

Hmmm, 24 posts later and the OP has yet to be heard from again. Guess he decided not to discuss. Think we scared a troll away?
