Time for a new one!! Welcome to all SAHM or SAHW! This is your thread to chat, encourage each other, talk about our daily routines...and the triumphs of a clean toilet and folded laundry! Sandy

so how is everyone today?? I'm tired. I did too much yesterday. Even though I'm in the second trimester and have more energy, I get worn out much faster than I did with previous pregnancies. I scrubbed the kitchen floor, did laundry and made 4 pizzas from scratch yesterday, 'cause we had friends over. Today I have to clean the house like normal, put mt. laundry away, and go to the store...we need milk and I have to order a cake for bible study tonight. We're having a going away party for a friend. On a good note, my kids slept till almost 7 today! THAT'S AMAZING! And nice LOL On another note, we've decided to pull Steph from her pre-k program. The benefits are not enough to make it worth it.

now added to my list: bleach the bathroom floor and toilet. Manda went to get in the shower this morning and pokes her head out and says, "The toilet is plugged" (it was my fault and I forgot about it) So I say, "Ok, get in the shower and I'll plunge it after" then she says, "Ugh, there's water everywhere!" OH SNAP. *sigh* Oh well. Apparently, I needed some stomach strength training today, since it'll take all my effort NOT to puke while cleaning the floor. LOL

Ouch, Sandy, I'm sorry! We're tired here today. Beth (and me and Nathan) was congested last night. I know all the right things to do, but it was midnight by the time I got her off to sleep... then she woke up 40 minutes later. She's sleeping peacefully now on my chest, but flat on her back is difficult for her. I did get dinner started in the crock pot, barbecue beans and beef. It's a tasty meal. All the dishes are done and the bed is made, too. Since no one is coughing or with fever, I think I'll take Nathan to Library Storytime. He needs to get out of the house.

Ugh, Sandy, I'm so sorry you have to clean up after such a nasty mess. I took a MAJOR lazy day yesterday and spent the entire day reading a book. Finally finished it at 12:30am. This is why I stopped reading - I don't know how to do it in moderation! Everyone was irritated with me by the end of the day, hubby included, so I'm getting things back to normal this morning. Another reason I also hate snow days. I have laundry going, the kitchen is cleaned and mopped, bathroom too. I'm getting ready to take an indoor walk with Leslie Sansone since I just laid the baby down for his nap. Ahhh, feels good to be back in the swing of things!

I am so tired. David didn't sleep well at all last night. I was up with him until 1:00 and then I ended up bringing him to bed with me so he got some sleep, but I didn't. I am 10 weeks pregnant and the morning sickness isn't going away yet. I have no desire to eat but I am starving all the time. I passed out the other day so now I am afraid to carry David around. I need to do a load of laundry today and put away 3 baskets of David's clothes and diapers. I also need to do our taxes. Chris will be making dinner again tonight because I still can't stomach the smell of cooking meat. Sandy- Our toilet did that the other day. Luckily, my mom was here when it happened. All I had to do was get her some old towels and the cleaning supplies and she took care of the rest, including putting the towels in the wash. I love my mommy!!

Aww Emily, hopefully the morning sickness will pass by quickly and thats great your hubby is helping cook. thats nice your mom is helpfull like that too. Good luck with taxes and laundry lol Way to go Garsy!!! that is awesome! NicoleM, I bet they don't like it either, they may used to working in it but might not like it lol So when are you going to buy all this stuff Friday? I am doing good, I was so tired last night I went to bed alot earlier then I normally do, and most all the snow is melted so people are out and about ...Chandler got to work today but said there was still snow over where he is working lol well I just hope I don't get sick from what my friend had she was at our house sunday. This guy told me today not to have kids or buy a house... he said to get a couple of dogs instead. He then said he wasn't comparing dogs to kids but did say that they are aggrovating just like kids..although He loves his kids... its funny how much different opions your customers have... I love working at small town office but sometimes you put up with some crazy people and some crazy opions as well... everyone wants to know everyones business... ya know... but at the same time it allows me to talk with people more openly about God.

I finished cleaning all my animal cages and vacuumed the den. I also finished moving stuff around to make more room. All I have left to do is to tidy up our bedroom and some laundry. But that can wait till after lunch!

David took a 3 hour nap today...so I did too!! That means I won't get the taxes done today. Chris will probably be upset about that, but I was exhausted.

Go Emily! That's great about your nap. I have trouble sleeping during the day, and I'm pretty congested anyhow, so I'm sitting down with a cup of tea. Sandy, I don't understand people like that either.

Ah see well maybe he will help Friday if he is able :P Sandy that is truely sad :( there are always negative people saying you shouldn't get married, you should have kids, even though they are married and have kids ... but I think they are just unhappy with their life... and I would say alot of them who say stuff like that do not know Jesus as their personal Savoirs.

quote:
Sandy, people who say that make me feel sad. I can't believe she was so rude about her kids. My cousin has one kid. She says she loves him, but can't stand him. She's home all day long and can't be bothered to do anything with him most of the time. Her mom will drive him to school (he's 5), she picks him up from school and brings him to daycare. Now, you may wonder why the heck he's in daycare since she's home all day right? We all wonder why. She is always depressed though so she has a hard time taking care of herself too. It makes me feel sad. She has the perfect opportunity to be a SAHM and isn't embracing it. Unfortunately, there are a lot of women that are not cut out to be SAHM. This however sounds to be like a serious case of depression that needs professional help. I have kids walking through the door so I must go! Blessings, Garsy

Hi everyone Hubby is home safe. He hasn't yet apologised but he said it was good to be home. So that's something. housework- well I made sure the house was SPOTLESS last night when he got home. Grace has vacuumed 2 days in a row, she is LOVING vacumming, even under the couch, under her bed and things. Awesome

Hi ladies! Just popping in quick before I get dinner ready (Dh is still napping so I get extra time!) Sandy - I cleaned my bathroom today, was pretty ticked off at how dirty it was and then read what you posted. Now I'm fine! Though I'm seriously tempted to hand that job over to Dh now. I don't mind doing it, but my belly gets in the way when I clean the tub. And there are always little hairs in the corners and everywhere in the bathroom because Dh shaves his head every couple of days, then jumps in the shower. He's actually very good at keeping the bathroom clean when he does it, but he never seems to notice the corners! So even if I pass of the bathroom chore, I'm sure there will still be corners for me to clean! Emily - hooray for 3 hour naps, I forgot those existed! I hope you get your taxes done soon. We're waiting on one slip from Dh's work and then we can get ours done, which is frustrating, because we've had everything else ready to go for a while. My dad does taxes professionally, so at least I don't have to worry about doing it myself. Jen - I hear you about people being unhappy in their lives and projecting it on to others. We heard a lot of reasons why Dh and I shouldn't have gotten married, or have kids the way we are, and you can always see exactly in the other persons life why they are telling us that. It has nothing to do with us. I think it's unfortunate. Nicole - glad that your Dh is home, maybe it will take a little while before he can really open up about what happened, maybe he'll have to lick his wounds a bit. My SIL, who is the same age as me, came out to church on Sunday. She has a 9 year old daughter, and a 2 month old daughter. Her boyfriend is away at school in the US in his last semester, so she's on her own right now. I feel bad, because we live too far for either of us to hop on the bus and go see each other, and Dh works too far to leave the car behind. But next week is March break so I'm going to get Dh to take me there one day with Akeelah and or have him pick them up and bring them over here. Hopefully that will work out, it seems like she is a little down.
