If, hypotheically, you meet someone of the opposite sex, that for whatever reason strikes your fancy...even if it's a chance encounter that leaves you thinking something, well, you know, good. What would you do? I mean, yesterday there was this cashier at a pet store that I had gone to buy fish for something for my sisters(a science experiment of sorts) and well, it took one of the crew members a few minutes to go and get the fish, but I started talking with the cashier, and I don't know...she seemed very friendly(a little tomboyish perhaps), but I left very hurriedly(i get uncomfortable around young women now, it's new, trust me) but I got in my car and I almost went back in. lol Something clicked...at least for me it did, and it wasn't as if she was gorgeous and my hormones were acting up. Anyway, if that happened to you, what would you do? She only works part time, so I can't go back knowing that she will be there. lol So what would you do in a chance encounter like that?

If I were you, I'd pray first, then go back to the store a few times. Gather up all the confidence you have, and just talk to her again. Ask a few questions, and maybe exchange email addresses or telephone numbers. Just a couple of months ago, someone else had a similar situation... I'll see if I can find the thread... it should be encouraging to you! Found it: My Crush Is Gone ETA Link

I have a somewhat similar post about the topic. Mine is called what to say to the opposite sex that you're attracted to. For me, when I meet someone that I'm instantly attracted to, I would try to find out very early on if he's a Christ follower. There is no point for me to let my attraction go if we don't share the same faith. IF he is, then, I'll just keep talking to see if we have anything in common. I start flirting a bit, and this is the time when my playful side comes out.

Hey violinist ! How cool you play the violin ?! Well, I do see this situations on the spot as people who are great friend material and we are attracted to them for their energies, personality, that something that sparkles in different individuals more then others..yep. Everything for sure starts by friendship that are good influences in our lives that different people get to exchange with one another many times for life! Just approach the situation in light mode reggarding people who give us good special impression is my moto, and soon enough or not you will see if it was a false alarm, particular to those who may see romantic vibes of some sort, if they are conditioned to see warm feelings good human beings send by just bein themselves, in a romantic light and etc. It takes whatever pressure you may having and just naturaly move you on the path of meeting nice, good, fantastic people. I usually do not let impressions of this kind settle in my head and make little pictures in my head of it as when I feel this "thing" on spot. I just say on the spot to people they are cool and etc when I feel that as most of the time you see by the interaction people may feel the same and we both are curious about one another and etc This is the way I just make friends and do not get to call this stuff crushes too. Just way nature show us how different people make impression on us by sending their unique vibes and etc Please to meet you and have a bless day!

You never know. The Afters have a song called "MySpace Girl". It's a catchy tune, but it seemed a little stalker-ish. Turns out that it is a true story!! Their former bass player was making good eye contact w/ an employee at an In-N-Out Burger joint, but he left w/o saying a word. He expressed his HUGE regret to the band b/c that was the woman he was supposed to marry. They made fun of him for saying that b/c he only said two words to her while they were there. When they returned home from the tour, Preston did a search on MySpace and FOUND HER!! He wrote her and she responded right away. They began writing back and forth and are now happily married. If only it were that easy every time. Fun story, though. Check out the vid.

LOL....I went back to the store, and SHE WAS THERE! AND REMEMBERED ME! I didn't get much chance to talk to her, and I still don't know her name, but she's got a nice smile and laugh, lol. Do I go again? I mean, if she's there, she might get the hint, and umm, get mad...
