You know that sound pulse thing that disabled the SkyNet robots? ....Why wasn't that used to disable the SkyNet headquarters place they bombed at the end? Could they just disable the whole place with a large amplified version of that sound pulse thing? I didn't get that..... From what I understood of it, the pulse didn't disable the robots at all--the machines faked the disablings so that the pulse would be used and the hq sub located and destroyed.

It was basically a 2009 version of "Many Bothans died to bring us this information", but all the while the Emperor (Skynet) was the source of the bogus plans in the first place, using them to draw the rebels out into the open thinking they had an edge. Skynet planted a bogus "secret" frequency for the Resistance to use, because once they turned it on, Skynet could zero in on their exact location. That is how the HK (or whatever it was) was able to zero in on Resistance HQ and torpedo it into bits.

BUT................if they got to Kyle Reese and knew that he was the father of John Connor, why not just kill Reese ASAP? ....They could still kill Connor later. ....I mean, they used Kyle as the bait for Connor, but what if Connor doesn't show and kills Marcus?......Would they then have to openly bait Connor with Reese as living hostage?...And wouldn't the Resistance know by then that the sound wave blast thing was a trick and not fall for it to attack the SkyNet base?.... And irregardless of all that....wouldn't simply killing Reese end it all? If they killed Reese, then the current John Connor wouldn't even exist right? ........ Oh and also...if SkyNet could locate the Resistance members when they used the "fake" sonic blast thing, why not just locate John Connor right away when he used it and go kill/bomb him? Why have to bait him all the way to SkyNet?.... ...More questions....questions questions....

Don't bother this movie with silly things like logic or the space-time-continuum! ;P Actually one of my biggest complaints which I failed to mention! I guess it depends on if you subscribe to the "Back to the Future" theory of time travel that puts everything on one time-line, or the "Star Trek" theory of time travel that allows for an alternate reality for every one of the gazillions of things that happen in any given moment. On a side note, there is a really good sci-fi book called "Mainline" by Deborah Christian in which the main character has the ability to "step" between the infinite number of parallel realities, from one time line to another, but is unable to find her original reality which she accidentally stepped out of when she was young.

That was also the premise of the tv show "Sliders." Jerry O'Connol played some whiz-kid who built a device that allowed them to jump between different realities, but something went haywire and they couldn't get back home. -Dan.

I used to watch Sliders regularly! I loved John-Rhys Davies and couldn't wait to see where they would go each week.
