so i bought the Monster ep today, and its interesting. first of all, the ep comes with 5 different artworks, for 5 different monster masks that the band members wear on the back. anyway, the ep is only sold at Hot Topic, and its 12.99, which is pretty steep for a T&N ep. but once i got home i saw why. the EP which is 2 songs from Monster Monster, and 3 songs that didnt make the cut, is 1 disc, and disc 2 is Monster Monster. however, it doesnt come out till novemeber 3. anyway, the MOnster Monster disc is actually a screen printed high quality CD-R, and upon release of the full length, theres a card included with the ep with a special redemption code, and you can go to the listed website, redeem the code for the digital Full Length, download it, then burn it to the included cd-r. interesting. the case is a gate fold digi-pack, and it comes with the full length album booklet (the one that will be released with the full length when it comes available in november). this is a VERY interesting concept, and im wondering how well the fans/industry appreciates this approach to music piracy.

I love novelty! That is a really cool idea. The band itself is hit or miss with me, so I probably won't buy it. However, the idea is neat and I hope it serves them well.
