Ok I have a problem...I trying to upload a personal picture. It fits all requirements. I press add after says it successfully loaded but I still don't see my personal photo!! So what going on???

You need to have 50 posts before a custom avatar will show up. Get posting!

what you are actually uploading successfully to is probably your profile section. Once you have enough posts you will see another upload section right above where you are uploading right now....you can't get to it til you post enough though (can't even see it I think....my hubby's profile page doesn't have it there cause his is under 50 posts)
