Has anyone had a vasectomy - and then gotten it reversed?

Not me. I prefer to keep sharp things away from that part of me.

But I did have a work buddy who did exactly that. The reversal did work (he had another kid) but it was expensive and a sucessful reversal is not guaranteed by the dr..

If you go for a vasectomy, I think it's best to assume it will be permanent.

Yes, I thought permanent too, but....

Through this experience, as with many in my life, I have learned a lot more and wish I had that knowledge to start with. I did not pray for wisdom when we decided on the vasectomy, and neither did we pray about it. And that is what we regret most.

Also, I just have not felt the same since the V. I'll keep from posting the physical details, but I just don't feel as much of a man. I want to be myself again.

If you equate being fertile as being a complete man, then you are in for a bit of a shock later on.

Listen to the counselor when you go to sign up. You will have to decide if this is right for you and the possibility of never having children again under any circumstances.

The pain is tremendous if anything hits that area after the operation. It too is something you will remember for the rest of your life.

Nah, it doesn't really have anything to do with feeling fertile. It's just how I feel physically.

I have heard about the pain, but it seems to be a matter of how your body handles it just the same as the vasectomy. some guys are up and around sooner than others.

I'm kind of a baby about the surgery so that is what i am squeamish about mostly...
