I'm thinking mostly in the vein of email devotional resources here. I've been reading a Family Live email devotional for the past year or two, and think I'd like to find something that focuses more on men and being emotionally healthy.

I have recently come upon the thought that since I feel like a wreck in all ways, and marriage is but one of them, that it might be better to be encouraged personally.

Hello frustrated1

My wife and I do Kenneth and Gloria Copeland at kcm.org. We find them to be uplifting and help us to connect with the Lord. We also do Pastor Graham and Greg Lourie. You can find them on Crosswalk, the sponsor of this forum.

Devotions are good but one's own serious study of the Word helps as well. In connection with that have you considered a change in your confession, maybe a more uplifting screen name. John 10:10 says that Jesus came to give us abundant life to such an extent that we cannot contain it all. Anyone is free to find Him through scriptures, prayer and fellowship with the Saints.

I'm reading a Spurgeon devotional at the moment. The 19th century English isn't very readable, but there's some good teaching in it.

Ah! I just finished "Great Days with the Great Lives" by Swindoll as devotional.

I am now chewing through "Spurgeon's Sermon Notes" as a devotional.

As you said, the 19th century English is quite cumbersome, but sometimes enlightening even linguistically.

I'm not reading any devotionals at the moment but I always make sure to catch "Every Man's Battle" by Steven Arterburn on Moody Radio every afternoon on my way home. It's great!

AM Radio is a blessing, specially when it comes in clearly.

I listen to sermons for 1.5 hours in the morning to, and same on the way home.

Well, that's not at all what I expected, and I suspect its one of the reasons that I don't post here very often. I really don't appreciate the negativity and critical attitude. I'm not sure what sort of knowledge you think you have of someone based on a single post, and their screen name, but I really don't appreciate the judgemental attitude.
