I am having a hard time processing what Scientists are saying about the year 2012 and what that means for earth? Are you guys familiar with what I am talking about? I don't know what to think or feel about it except it quite frankly freaks me out. I keep telling myself that only God knows the end of things and that He wants His children to be prepared, not fearful, but honestly, I am going through a myriad of emotions. How do you guys feel about this?

JER 10:2 This is what the LORD says:
"Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the sky,
though the nations are terrified by them.

I'll tell you more about 12/21/12 on the date of 6/21/09; if anything is going to happen the telling point will be on this date.

My opinion is maybe. It may correspond with a bibical prophesy. But there is a celestial event to consider.

http://www.december212012.com/articles/news/Turning_In_The_Widening_Gyre.htm

The fact that the solar system passes the galactic center at that time could be important. And unfortunatly the reasons for the Mayan calendar are lost to history. Though the coindence is striking. But basically you are just going to have to watch and see.

But the bibical coindence is this.

The 2 curses of Malachi. An odd name for them because the main information is in the book of Hosea but here is the rundown on them.

1st one the curse on the Israelites. Approximatly in 721 to 725 BC the northern kingdom of Israel was taken captive by the Assyrians and hauled away as slaves. But they were never restored after the 390 year curse of Ezekial 4 was completed. Or was it completed? Looking in Hosea you are told that Ephraim(another name for the northern kingdom of Israel) had not been forgiven! Under the rules of the old covenant if you receive a top level Leviticus 26 curse and are not forgiven later the curse multiplies by 7. That curse became 2730 years. 725BC plus 2730 years equals out to 2005 AD. From 721 BC the date is 2009. The difference is 3 years. Could there be a 3 year error in the start of this curse? Maybe.

So that is a possible Bibical link to 2012. The end of the curse on the Israelites.

The 2nd curse since I mentioned it. The 2000 year curse on the Jews. To find it look at Hosea 6 verses 1, 2, and 3. And reference those verses with Leviticus 26 and 2nd Peter 3-8. Simplified though those verses are a prophecy in a code. And the prophecy is that the Jews were to suffer a 2 day curse (2000 years) followed by 1 day (1000 years) of living in his sight.

My best guess combined with another prophecy is that the end of that curse falls on Passover 2028. The end times must occur before that date.

Scientists aren't saying anything will happen on this date! Some astrologers and other "mystic" minded people are. Don't worry, it is bunk.

Basically, the Mayan calendar ends on or around that date. No problem.

A date on a Babylonian Calendar is nothing to fear or care about.
God only operates on "His Calendar." Lev. 23.

As Bob said, he's looking at a Feast Day to commit on the pagan date.
It's just like Y2K, it was bunk.

Remember, we still have the last week of Daniel, so until you see what
Jesus told us to look for, you still have 7 to 10 years. That's if we could
pick a count down date today.

The earth as we know will always have at least 1007 years to go.
7 years of Yahshua confirming the covenant, the anti-messiah causing
desolation in the middle, and a thousand years of ruling and reigning
on this present earth. So, the world ending in 2012? Not going to happen.

Just start reading what God says and don't pay any attention to pagan prophets.

Exactly... so I always figure those days (and there have been scores of them since I was a kid- and according history studies, people have been making these predictions forever) that are purported to be "the end" can never be right, because everyone is expecting it...

but then I start to think that since we really aren't expecting it on those days because it is predicted so it can't be the day, that it might actually be the time when we would least expect it; so therefore it might be correct even in its obvious implausibility. And then my head starts to hurt so I get some cookies.

Hi Aleric,

6/21/09 is important because if the world ends on 12/21/12, the Antichrist will be exposed 3 1/2 years before the end.

Those three and the rest of the WOF camp telephone each other regularly
to infom each other what the "Lord is saying." Talk about networking. ha.

NOTE: I may have to correct that. JVI may be out there by himself. lol.

Greetings Ntech! Please note that our dating system is off by about 3 1/2 years or 4 years on the gregorian calendar. I wonder if you could tell me how this would work out according to the aztecan calendar?

Luke 12:39-40 (NIV) But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Hi Retrobyter,

Even if there is only 3 1/2 years remaining, the man of sin will still be exposed in the temple will he not?

It's funny that for all the interest in this supposed prophecy (and the false prophecies expounded by others) we so easily forget groups like the Millerites and the Great Disappointment. William Miller predicted that Christ would return to the Earth on 22 October 1844...He had more than a little embarassment after the sun came up and nothing happened on the 22d and the 23d. He, too, used sophisticated calculations and numerology based on Scripture (Dan. 8:14)...
Even Jesus did not know when the end would be as it is known only by our Father in heaven. Anyone who claims to know is either deluded, a liar or a charlatan...
My 2.5 cents worth...

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode, when Homer calculated when the end of the world would be.

I don't like fancy number calculations.

I do favor a sequence-of-events approach.

Still, while I'll know when the Great Tribulation will start and how it will be put into effect based on when the one 'seven' starts (when it does); I still won't know when Jesus will come - just that He will.

And it's not even necessary for me to be here to witness it in order to have eternal life.

I would not let it freak me out. This doom and gloom stuff has been going on since the dawn of man. I have never figured out why man is so obsessed with his own demise. Is it a personal death wish or something? Is man so in secure that he frets day in and day out about when life as he knows it will come to an abrupt end? Well it will end one day but no need sitting around worrying about it....
