I don't think my cat is a Christian. She's too...well...cat-like to be a true Christian. She's very selfish, she doesn't put others above herself. She doesn't contribute to the household. What about your pet?

My kitty Princess F is VERY Christian. I believe pets absorb their owners personality and likes and dislikes.

I think most dogs tend to be Christian, but cats...I just can't say that.

The difference between dogs and cats:

You feed a dog, you pet a dog, you love that dog.
The dog thinks, "Oh, (s)he loves me so much and takes such good care of me, (s)he MUST be God!!

You feed a cat, you pet a cat, you love that cat.
The cat thinks, "Oh, (s)he loves me so much and takes such good care of me, I MUST be God!

Cats don't care. They are royality you know so they don't have to. Our cat is whatever religon that invloves whining for your food, turning your nose up at it when it is put in your dish and promptly marching over to eat your owner's spider plant. Whatever religion that involves sleeping all day, waking up only to eat and terrorize the gerbils, and attempt to scratch your way under the bedroom door to get to the aformentioned gerbils.

Blessings,

Garsy

LOL, Kimmie! That's great.

I wish I still had my kitty. I think she was a Christian. She would turn the other cheek when my baby would pull her hair.

I always hear that cats are selfish but I can't say that mine are (either one).

Both are very patient and will allow rough toddler cuddles. Both like kids. The female will follow you around 'talking' to you (when she's awake). The male will bring you mice.
They do sleep a lot but neither one seems to expect much.

I would say both are humanist/catist. There's concern for us but no great burden of love.

The dog is burdened by a great love for his pack, but he is much more trouble. He's like that needy person that comes to church and wants you to be his best friend, never leaving him for a moment. Eventually you get burned out but you feel responsible.

At least the cats know when to leave me alone.

When I was little, we had a Chihuahua who must have practiced Santeria. Chita was definitely possessed!! My little brother swore he saw her eyes glow red one night before she bit him.

I agree SteelMagnolia~ I think you commit an error if we compare between cats and dogs and expect the one who is more warm to coform to the other nicer ones.

God created cats and dogs different from each other just like humans.

The bottom line is...my adorable kitty NEVER hurt me. Apart from those few times when she scratches me or bites me lightly. Apart from that, all what she brought to me is nothing but....JOY &

This thread remind me that when I was a kid, we were at this one couples house, and they had actually taught their dog to do a praying motion before he (or she, can't remember which, its been too long) ate.

We had one dog that acted like a christian, and one that acted like a she-devil. Read about it HERE, post #30.

I think one of my cats is a Christian. She likes to come and sit on my Bible when I read it. However, maybe she's not because maybe she's trying to keep me from reading it.

My cats are their own religion. My dog must be a Goth, he's black and has wavy ears.

Well according to THIS guy, your cat may be getting a "charge" from your Bible!

My cat is Jewish because his name is "Ari" (named after Ari Fleischer) and that's Hebrew for "lion." We joke that he doesn't do what we tell him to because he hasn't learned English yet.

Our dog is a hypocrite. She also has learned to "pray" before eating her treat, but otherwise she is very arrogant and self-serving.

Simba is a christian kitty. He is friendly and cute, and just so loving to everyone.Besides mischeviousness He is a good christian lol.

Ginger on the other hand is a devil kitty. She will just turn on you when she has had enough petting, and bite and scratch you.You should hear the way she screams when Simba teases her. Also she is moody, and only nice to certain people. She most definitely isn't a christian lol!

My dog is definitely NOT Christian - he worships me. Good diplomacy but bad theology.

The cats... I think they worship the couch. They lie on it on their backs with their feet in the air - I guess because they can't kneel. They spend hours praying there with their eyes closed.

I think my cat must be charismatic because he speaks in an unknown tongue (Siamese). If you've ever had a Siamese or been around one, you know about all the different pronunciations, inflections, etc. Unfortunately, neither of us has the gift of translation. There are times when he's being very demanding or opinionated, and I'm sure he thinks I'm not too bright because I don't understand what he's trying to tell me.
