I was forwarded a copy of this article from Psychology Today and quite honestly, every time I pick up that magazine or read an excerpt from it, it lowers my view on its credibility.

Now I understand that life has some truths, some which aren't very pretty or nice to hear, but come on now...at least tell us something practical, useful, or heck, even positive that we can at least learn from. Oh no, that would be too easy...so let's write an article to make some readers feel bad and has no point to it, other than to paint humanity with more stains.

Here is the article:

http://psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-20070622-000002.xml

I mean, it's like wow. Could these people have wasted their time, and ours any more than they already have?

So apparently men prefer blondes and always will-- so what are we supposed to do about it? All of us dye our hair blonde? Sorry but if men overall prefer blondes (not that I think being blonde haired, blue eyed is bad at all, I think it's rather pretty in fact, sorta like Rapunzel) why is it that I keep seeing white guys chasing after darker-complected, darker-haired ethnic girls?

Numbers 2 and 3 are what really got me. It's funny that the evolutionists are the ones who tend to propaganda this idea, yet still claim that evolution has allowed us to evolve in ways more advanced than primal species...(snorts).

Yeah number 4 is certainly mistaken...Muslims tend to be suicide bombers because Islam is militaristic and condones jihad, and Muslims will obviously do anything to defend that-- not because they're trying to weed each other out for women

Numbers 5 and 6...yeah I don't even know what to say.

Numbers 7, 8, and 10 make no sense at all, and funnily enough, number 9 seems to be the only one that makes sense, mostly because it's obvious.

I don't mean to come across as being defensive, but this article certainly came to me on a bad, bad, bad, very bad day. I mean good grief, I hope when I'm a psychologist I don't waste my time and energy into writing such useless things.

Lots of people will take nearly everything they read in such an important sounding magazine as gospel truth. It makes money for the magazine and publishers. Someone with an agenda can find "authorities" who will say or write anything to get published in a national magazine. And a lot of it is garbage.

Hope you're having a much better day today. Blessings,
-Dave
