My husband is a backslider before our marriage. I have accepted the Lord but he will not return to the truth he once embraced. Pray for a spritual awakening in his life so the fire can be restored before it is too late. Are we now unequally yoked? Kattie

Whether or not you are unequally yoked, you are married. I'm sorry, dear one; this has got to be hard for you. Lord Jesus, I lift this man up to You and ask that You have mercy on him and draw him back to Yourself in repentence and godly sorrow, so that he can be restored to a right relationship with You. I pray You help Kattie who loves him; comfort and encourage her. I ask it in Your holy name, amen. (((HUgs)))

I have prayed for you too. Your best tool in encouraging him is to let him see your light shine. Show him (rather, remind him) , through your life, how awesome God is.

I know he was in the church as a very vibrant christian. He was in volved in sexual relationship I inherit a step son. He was near promotion as a preacher then. I also think he had somewhat denounce his faith and was looking to the Rastafarian idea. My take on the matter? He is ashame to go back to church because of his affiliation with his friends and their idea about christianity. The truth though, he supports me in my faith and would fill in for me in family matters if I have to do or go on church missons. He wont stop smoking marijuana and it is killing me!

My husband will not go to church either. I cry out to God and ask God to save him. According to his Word (Bible) God says to wait upon the Lord and He shall renew thy strength. God hears our every prayer and He answers our request. You just have to stand on the Promise's of the Lord. Claim it in Jesus Name and just Thank Him and Praise Him for what He has done. You just got to hold onto God's promises. Jesus said "Whatsoever you ask in My Name He will do". He will grant you the Desires of your heart. Praise God......Keep standing in the gap and don't give up on God. He is faithful, and mercyfull to All his Children. Just keep on keeping on. The answer is on the way! In Jesus Holy Name, Sue

Smoking pot will only weakened the mind and all that's going on there will be that "Rastafarian way" - a rebellious mind is at odds with the Lord as you well know and can see. Some safe boundaries are in order - he shouldn't be using "pot" in the family home. If there's no peace or clean air(free from pot fumes) in the home - then I suggest either you or him to find another place to live until he is ready to get off "pot". Inhaling the fumes from that stuff will effect you as well.
