Where are you my Lord? I been distant from God lately, I hate it. I can not find myself to actually go to church, I feel as if I am being forced to go. If it was not for my friends, I would not go at all. I have not gone over a month, they are getting me to go now, but I don't want to go. I have no energy to get going in my relationship with God. It feels as if it is a HUGE chore to go and to make effort with God Have you felt this way before? I feel alone in this God thing, no one understands where I'm coming from. I can not get into where I should be with God. A good friend tells me all the time, "God loves me, I'm his princess and will never leave me" I bow my head down I can not believe this. I know I'm hurting my friend because she wants me to believe in God, love God, go to church the whole nine yards but I just can not do this. How about any good books out there would be good to read in my circumstance? Certain areas in the bible would back me up that I am not alone in this right now? Any good Christian websites out there I can get into may help help me with this? Anything at all? Peace Food

quote:
Mat 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. A close friend of mine pointed out to me that the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. He showed me that to help me understand that my own distance from the Lord may have been exactly God's plan for me at the time. Why? In my case it was pretty simple. quote:
Pro 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: Pro 3:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. quote:
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. I don't know your story, so can't offer any more than this, but I can promise you God is exactly where He's always been. Peace

Do you love Jesus? Is Jesus your lord and savior? What is the most important thing in your life? How about number 2? Do you believe that Jesus died so you can have a relationship with our precious father in heaven? Do you read the Bible? Jesus is right with you. Let him know you are serious about a relationship with him. Seek him in his word, watch TBN or Daystar, listen to Jesus music, worship him(get down on your knees and really, really pray to Him)..dont be intimidated by him, dont be afraid of him, he loves you, he doesnt want you to be afraid of him. Be in Awww of his greatness and power and his awesome creation around you....not afraid of him. Sing to him, write a letter to him, give some money to an organization that feeds hungry people for the Holidays. Dont feel forced to go to church, the Holy Spirit will lead you when your spiritually ready. I am praying for you. I think every believer should live by JOHN 14:21 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

OK... I answered to your questions, my responses were all yes, but I re-read through it, but I could not continue this post, I knew I wasn't telling the truth. Do you love Jesus? Yes Is Jesus your lord and savior? Kind of yes, What is the most important thing in your life? How about number 2? Gah.... Not sure how to answer this. I love Jesus and all but I don't know if he is sorry to say my number one thing in my life. Do you believe that Jesus died so you can have a relationship with our precious father in heaven? Yes Do you read the Bible? I'm getting into reading it now, I truly accepted Jesus in my life the past couple months. I been a "Christian" for a while but never meant it, I didn't consider myself one actually, even til today I think there is more to this, I don't know why but I feel dead in my heart right now. There is no passion to God at all. Dont feel forced to go to church, the Holy Spirit will lead you when your spiritually ready. Should I even go to church if I feel forced to go? I am praying for you. Thank you I really love that verse Thank you!!! Peace Food

The Evil forces in the world want to keep you from Jesus. The number one goal of Satan is to keep you away from Jesus. Satan wants to keep you in the world were he can control you. I think you need to punch Satan in the face and let him know that you are really serious about Jesus. Satan hates it when you do something that strengthens your relationship with Jesus. If you hate Evil, come closer to Jesus. If you hate the way TV, Hollywood, Government, News Media etc. etc tries to keep you away from Jesus, come closer to Jesus. Bottom Line: If you want peace and Joy in your life, seek Jesus.....always keep your eyes on Jesus. He wanted Peter to keep his eyes on him when they were on the lake. Peter got scared and looked around himself and got scared. He took his eyes off Jesus and started to sink. Jesus is everything we need. Matthew 14 14:22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 14:23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 14:24 but the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 14:25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 14:26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. 14:27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 14:28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 14:29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 14:30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" 14:32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 14:33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

(((Food4life))) Oh, yeah, I've been there. You're starving spiritually. Three things you can do to immediately start tracking in the right direction: 1) rejoice. Really. God has forgiven your sins, you don't have to pay for them yourself, He's made you His son (even if you're a girl - sons inherit everything and so will you), He's promised you all kinds of wonderful things like He'll never leave you. So thank Him - He is worthy to be praised! Look in Rev. 5 and see how the angels praise Him. 2) get back into the Bible, every day. He's going to feed you, and you've been starving yourself. 3) get back with other Christians; it will do you good to be loved by them and to be raised up to talk about God and how He's in control Your fears and selfishness (which we all have) have taken over, and the inmates are running the asylum - take it back. Read, praise, fellowship. Tell Satan he can go sit on a tack, if you think he's a problem. When we resist him, he has to flee. James 4:7 Listening to praise music always helps me, and I especially like the music from Handel's "Messiah." It lifts me up. A book you might enjoy is "Hind's Feet in High Places." It may look like a kid's book, but don't be fooled - there's truth galore in there. God bless you, dear one. I'm praying for you tonight. You don't have to stay down in the pits, so climb on out. You're on the winning side!

The simple answer is that He is with you, where ever you are, He is with you. If you run to the north, He will be there with you. If you run to the South, He will be with you. No matter where you go, He is with you. There are times when He will pull back His presence so that you don't sense Him, and I think He does this as a test to us, to see (no, not quite right; it's more to show us something about ourselves or our faith) if we will remain true to our faith. I say it's something more like showing us something within ourselves because He already knows if there is a problem He wants to correct, but He sometimes wants us to see the same thing He does. So He'll pull His presence back to show us something. He also does this because He wants you to pursue Him, to seek Him. Much like a teenage girl wants to be pursued by her romantic interest. One of the things that you must learn to recognize is that any spiritual test puts us in a position where we want to do the exact opposite of what God wants us to do. For example, if God wants to produce patience in you, he'll put you into a situation that will test your patience. If He wants to test your honesty, he'll put you in a position where you will be tempted to lie. So, if you are tempted to ignore Him, it means that He is testing your willingness to follow Him, or pursue Him and seek Him as Jesus told us to do. The trick is to recognize the truth, that He is with us always, even if we cannot sense Him. Trust in that promise. Another thing He may be trying to do is get you past living by your emotions, relying instead on Him and His promises to you.
