Have you ever asked yourself if today was your last day on earth what would u do? If God was to say your days are numbered, what would you do? What reason would u give so that he can spare your life. And if HE was to say justify your works and prove yourself worthy for heaven. What would u say? If these question are tough for u to answer, then u have to change the way u live......

No works can justify your going to heaven, much less to justify a reason to be granted a longer life. So, if I heard a voice asking me to justify either of those by my works, I'd know it wasn't God doing the asking.

My grandfather just had his last day on earth a week ago.

The entire family had gathered for a cook out. We ate, laughed, talked...it was a wonderful, beautiful day. When he left, we all hugged him and told him we loved him. Literally 4 blocks from the gathering, 2 minutes away, he was found pulled over in a gas station slumped over the steering wheel unresponsive. He died of a heart arythmia.

If I knew it was my last day on earth...this is how I'd want to spend it...surrounded by those who loved me the most and then quietly slip away.

My mother likes to believe that as he was driving, the Lord appeared in the passenger seat and said, "Pull the car over...it's time to come home."

Yaa, what u said was true. I learnt one one or two from you. Bt i still have one more thing to ask..... How do you explain the issue of " Saved by grace"," Justification and Sanctification"?...
Tell me do you come to a point that you feel that you are sinful more than everyone and your judgement is going to be worse for you since you know more trueth? I believe we are going to be judged according to the light we have recieved

angelka71, that was a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.

Bryne, the slightest sin in the your eyes was enough to require Jesus to die on the cross in order for it to be removed. There are no degrees of being saved, just like there are no degrees of being pregnant - you either are or you aren't.

For the believer, I believe the Bible indicates that we will be rewarded for faithful service, but the redeemed are not going to lose the gift of eternal life, otherwise Jesus' atonement was not sufficient to save.
