Set those tickets on fire, did he?

I've met a bunch of SG singers, most notably (for me anyway) Jake Hess, Howard Goodman, and Dottie Rambo.

I met the members of ZZ Top once. Also, Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, and Tony Orlando.

Probably the most famous person I've met is Rhianna. I don't really like the worship of celebrity or the hounding of people who are famous. That said, I've walked by Tony Iommi, Paul Wall, and Mike Lowell (Boston Red Sox). I've met Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Frank Gambale, Vernon Reid, Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Dereck Trucks, Susan Tedesche (hung out with her for a bit - very cool), Big Daddy Kane, Sandy Pearlman (produced BOC's Agents of Fortune w/ "Don't Fear the Reaper"), Sylvia Massey (produced some Tool records), all of the guys from Dream Theater (a couple times), Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Billy Sheehan. There are more that I can't remember, including probably 5-10 country singers who are now reasonably famous. That guy with the really deep voice was one of them.

THE COOLEST STORY, you have to admit....

i met: Jaci Velasquez, Salvador, Phil Wickham, David Crowder, Avalon, Joel Houston, the Hillsong UNITED crew, the HIllsong London Crew, Building 429, Joy Williams, Newsboys.

this is probably the "COOLEST" meet up with my favorite artist you'll hear ladies and gentleman.

It turns out I've been a HUGE like HUGE SUPER DUPER fan of Jaci Velasquez since I was 8 years old when she came out in 1996 with her debut project. Ever since I've been addicted to all her stuff, and especially her Spanish Latin stuff, its even better produced than her English stuff. Anyhow in March of 2008 she held a concert about 2 hours from where I live. I had no car so I asked my sister and brother in law to take me, they were umm what the best word, had no spare money for fun. So with my own money I paid there ticket and mine (I had no car or license at the moment), we drive and go to the concert.

At the end of the concert Jaci is sitting down in a table giving autographs. When it comes to my turn "SHE" sees me and I dont even say anything okay, she gets up from her chair and givs me a hug and tells me that she knows who I am. It turns out she remembers me from online and not that only that but I usto write fan mail when I was 10. She called me sweet boy. Oh and she didnt stand up and hug anybody, everyone in the line stared like shock and like woooah cool. Haha it was the greates feeling ever

The coolest thing is that Jaci Velasquez remembers her fans, especially the big fans. Pretty cool, and yes I did take a picture. After this in October I saw her again in concert and she only let me and some of my friends take pictures and hangout for a bit. She wasn't giving autographs or pic with anybody else. She's amazing!!

oo another cool story was when I met JOEL HOUSTON from Hillsong UNITED. IT turns out he wasnt giving pictures or autographs either. What I did was go near back of the stage 30 mins after the concert and introduced myself to him and he was pretty cool and asked him for a picture. He was like half asleep though in the picture, due to traveling. And yes I took a picture.

you can see my pictures on my facebook, myspace and videos on youtube of many concerts:

Not Neal yet. I wish! Back in the 90s I was a huge Starflyer 59 fan and got to meet Jason Martin. He was kind of aloof...but that fit right in with the whole SF59 aura, I guess.

Almost met Phil Keaggy. He was in the lobby chatting with whoever after a show, but had to leave just as I got close enough to say hello.

I worked for a few years with Gary Talent's (E Street Band bassist) brother. Does that count for anything?

I had for a very long time wanted to meet Larry Norman, after all besides being one my top faves, I had my hair exactly like his and played many of his songs on guitar. My friends dubbed me with the nickname, Larry Norman Jr. I never got to meet him. I guess that wood have to happen on the other side now, since he's with Jesus and all.
However, in 1997, my wife and I got married and we used a song called "Procession" by Norm Strauss (Not Be Shaken, Our Father, to name a few other songs he has written and may be known to many. I had dreamed of meeting and playing with him either on a worship team and/or at a music event. That happened 3 years later. I became his bass player, YAY! I also got to meet Delirious backstage as part of the prayer team. Evidently, the band backing them up, I-55, backed us, The Norm Strauss Band, up at a gig the next night.
I've met Lonnie Chapin who plays bass for Petra, years before he joined them and he showed me how to 'Two-hand tap' the "theme to Peanuts" on the bass! I've also met Jon Bon Jovi, David Lee Roth with Steve Vai (in a music store of all places.) , Terry Jacks (Seasons in the Sun)

ive met so many.

ive met tobymac, tait band, kevin max, family force 5, stellar kart, grits, lyrycyst, kj-52, john reuben, pillar, falling up, the lead singer of mxpx, the guitarist from the classic crime, children 18:3 and apologetix

the two most memorable would be tobymac and kj-52.

tobymac because one of the few times i met him, i was wearing a dctalk supernatural tour tshirt that had lyrics to 'into Jesus'. when it was my turn to meet him, tobymac personally serenaded me with 'into Jesus.'

kj-52 because at creation fest west 2008, my buddy jon and i saw him at a table in a tent thing and we walked up to him and chilled with him for about 15-20 minutes or so. he is a pretty funny dude. told us a funny story about the making of 'revenge of the nerds' he also signed my copy of 'the yearbook' and said i was his 'bff'.

My daughters and I became aware of Pillar in 2001. Began to follow their journal on the web. Figured out they were coming to Omaha on Noahs birthday, so my youngest makes him a plate of chocolate chip cookies! He was very happy with that, carried them around for quite a while! Greg

I got to meet the lead singer of Mainstay once.

And I met another Mainstay-er...well, he plays for the Afters now, and I went to an Afters concert in April so I got to meet him as well.

Other than that, I've met: TobyMac (kind of), Brandon Heath, Jadon Lavik, Robbie Seay, and I think I'm missing someone, but yeah, I love meeting my favorite artists. Who doesn't?

I used to book shows, so I've gotten to meet a number of bands, including Skillet, Kids in the Way, KJ-52, John Reuben, etc.

I've spent some time with Made Avail, and went out to dinner with Nevertheless, Wavorly, and Deas Vail.

I also know a lot of smaller bands, like Nihilio, who just broke up, but was playing on the Tooth and Nail stage for a while. They are some of my best friends.

I have met a number of athletes as well, and am friends with Bea Paxon (professional paintballer).

My goal is to become best friends with Daniel Negreanu now

i've met all of the members of Switchfoot except their drummer Chad, and that was only because he didn't see me and therefore ignored my presence in the line (lol).

omg I am so seriously hating you right now..no j/k I would love to meet KJ-52 he did write me a personal letter once after I wrote him then in the letter he sent me the lyrics to "Daddy's girl" before his album was even released. So that was awesome and it also encouraged me so much.

Anyways to answer the question posted...I have met Rebecca St.James and her dad, Jaci Velasquez who I asked if I could give her a hug ya I totally freaked Jaci out probably. I shook Rebecca's hand, I met Jennifer Knapp, Big Daddy Weave, Britt Nicole and her band, FFH, ArticleA, Sanctus Real. And in Sept. I am going to see Francesa in concert and I am really hoping to get to meet her too.

I've met Michael Pritzil of The Violet Burning a few times. A very nice and sincere guy. At Florida Cornerstone one year, I told him I hadn't ordered his solo cd yet and he just have it to me. Very cool. Also, I've met Leigh Nash of Sixpence (very sweet) and Denison Witmer (very down-to-earth and easy-going).
