No man -- no spam here. Sorry if I offended -- I'm new to post to these forums. I'm really liking what I see here though. Take it easy. Joe

ORIGINAL: DethWolf Hey, how about you stop rippin' on him and accusing him of spamming just because he's a new member and you been here here awhile? So he likes Korn. So what? Lol, what. where did i accuse him of spamming??. Your seeing things. And what about you "Chief" (i notice in your other posts you like that term) what is it about Korn that is glorifying to Christ for you? quote:
I used to do Christian music as far as my solo material went, but I've gone away from that genre in the interest of putting more of how I feel and what I think into my songs, to make the music more from my heart Interesting quote dont rely on your heart to much Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful and wicked; Who can know it?

I couldn't care less what bands he likes but pretty much 100% of the time when someone shows up and for their VERY FIRST post promotes a mainstream rock band and includes the 'i got this from my boss at blah blah blah records' line it IS spam.

It does sound like spam but this person has 7 posts, only 2 of which mention Korn (the two here). The person has discussed college, boy/girl relationships (advising someone else) and even spoke positively about country music (or at least one artist). So I'll give this person the benefit of the doubt even if his / her taste in music does leave something to be desired* . * From a musical perspective, that was not a comment on their lyrics or suitability for Christian listening (not an issue for me anyway). Just a little good natured humor. what's sad is that if I failed to write this disclaimer someone (or someones) would have taken it as bashing Korn for being sinful or something.

I was referring to the first reply. And yes, I do enjoy using the term "Chief". I never claimed that Korn was a Christian band or glorified Christ. Nor do I claim to have ever been a fan, either before or after I got saved. It just gets on my nerves when people get down on someone for liking non-Christian music. Now as for my own music, I do not make anti-Christian music, I've merely stopped classifying myself in the Christian genre. I want to write songs about real things that real people deal with, that I've dealt with, and not just make my lyrics Bible this, Bible that, everything else under the sun is evil, and such. My lyrics will deal with things like depression, anorexia, cutting, suicidal, etc. Plus I've come to believe that there is no creativity in just building all your lyrics around a Bible verse.
