Hi :)

Well, Andrew is off to do some overtime at work, and I'm going to be cleaning out the back bedroom (which is really a storage room) and reorganize everything so more stuff can go in there and I can get the rest of the house cleaned up over the next few weeks.

I'm also going to be hanging up and putting away lots of clean clothing Andrew washed during the week, and will also be getting some clothing ready to be donated to a homeless shelter.

Tomorrow will be busy. Andrew and I help in the nursery/toddler room the first Sunday of each month, and after church I need to go to the residence center to deliver some Avon orders and hopefully get more orders. Later that day Andrew and I will most likely be going to Davis for week 2 of the Perspectives course, and we'll be home around 10pm.

I also need to go shopping for stuff for breakfast and lunch during the week, and will likely do that tomorrow afternoon.

It's a busy weekend! Oh, and I need to read more chapters of Peace Child for the book study small group I'm attending that meets on Monday evenings.

Boredom hasn't been an issue lately, that's for sure! This last weekend we had a benefit Valentine's Day event to attend, and it was fun. Desserts, a magic show, swing dancing exhibition, dancing, and a raffle. Very nice :) It was to help raise funds for this organization.

I've also been sick and am still dealing with a lingering cough.

Hi Maggie :)

It's cool that you have so much to occupy your time and interests. Married life seems to fit you well. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. That's icky. I've managed to avoid catching bugs this winter and have had to deal only with a few weeks of asthma. I'm very grateful to God for that.

Yep, there's plenty to do! Married life has been good so far ;)

I found this youtube video - everyone who reads this post needs to watch it!

Ya' gotta love that young lady! I can't wait to see her in about 2 or 3 years as she speaks on the same issue - she'll tear 'em up!

I love it. Thanks, Kimmy, for posting that link! I agree with Duane. I feel sorry for anyone in an argument with that one!

Thanks, Trish :) I have been feeling much better except for this lingering cough. It's not as bad as before, thankfully, and Mucinex is a wonder drug!

I'm glad y'all liked that video. I was VERY impressed with that young girl! She's already a force to be reckoned with in this debate, she's going to be amazing as she gets older.

They have set that video to private now...too bad! I was going to show it to WHN and can't view it. That's a bummer! People need to see that one.

Those would be perfect if a bit of caramel was included.

That recipe sounds really nice, Kimberly. You'll have to tell us how it turns out.

Those bars were fantastic! If you want to wow people, that's a good recipe to choose :)

I went to the Sacramento tax day tea party last Wednesday (the 15th) and had a great time. You can see videos here:

and photos here:

I'm really busy right now, the next 4 weeks or so are going to be hectic as I'm getting ready for the women's retreat. I'm part of the women's ministry team and am also going to be speaking during one of the sessions, so I have lots to do. Augh!!!

Hi Kimmie!

What are you going to be speaking at the retreat about?

Hi Trish :)

The two chapters I'll be covering are on the topics of having a heart of service, and being a woman of integrity. I've been spending this afternoon quietly reading those chapters, going to my bible, coming online to use a thesaurus and things like that. I want to get the basics down on paper so I can begin refining my notes and thinking on this.

I'll likely have a friend who's also speaking/teaching at the retreat come over and we'll give each other our talks to see how long they are and to evaluate and do more fine-tuning.

I also am leaving room for God to guide me, so I'm expecting good things :)
