I don't particularly like winter either, but where I am winter doesn't really kick in till Dec/Jan. It has only snowed here once since I can remember. Last winter was pretty mild though so I am expecting this one to be too. If it snowed it would be an answer to prayers my children have been praying for years. They have never seen snow. Where I was born it snowed and I don't miss it one bit. I feel for yall I really do. Don't see how you do it.

BTW, I know who Cinderella is, it took a little while but I know now. [:D]

Winter starts around mid-October out here in the Beautiful Wild Wild West . . . although it may start earlier than that this year . . . it's supposed to snow in the next couple of days and it already did a preliminary dusting a couple of days ago.

Plus, it snowed all through the month of June this year, so we had a very short summer.

I love snow, though.
Good thing . . . last year, it had snowed over 400" by February; and I think the total for the season was over 600".

That's alot of snow! Good thing it doesn't happen all in one day.

All this talk of snow reminds me of those videos where people come out of their houses and the snow on the roof falls down on top of them. Which of course is totally hilarious when you live in Florida so you know that will never happen to you.

A little snow would be nice, but I must admit that I do enjoy the rain in winter. I just wish we had more rain throughout the summer. Hmmmm...let me rephrase that. I wish we had ANY rain in the summertime, we almost never have any.

I think we picked the last of our tomatoes today. One was a big Orange Strawberry variety. How's that for confusing? A tomato named Orange Strawberry :P So named because it's orange and shaped like a strawberry.

Tomorrow is my first day of school in 20 years. I'm off to bed to get a good night's sleep so I'm ready for the week. Woohoo! My wheeled briefcase is ready, the laptop is charging, I have my class schedule, I have breakfast and lunch figured out and my outfit is ready.

I was given a really nice high quality backpack at orientation on Friday, but I don't want to lug that around. I found this wheeled briefcase at a thrift store for $7 and plan to get good use out of it. It's in really good condition, and the laptop bag was still with it. What makes it an extra special find is that I was specifically looking for a wheeled briefcase like that, and I went to a thrift store I almost never visit and found it. God is good, and He cares about even the smallest details :)

They do offer wifi at the school, but I don't know if I'll be able to access it tomorrow as I may not have the password yet. Once I do, I can get online when I'm not in class, and I plan to do so :)

Goodnight, y'all!

You can probably get online even when you're in class. I wonder if there will be a password. If it's a large campus it may be easier to keep the wifi unsecured. What are you studying?

I remember the May I was in Wyoming. Coming out the south exit of Yellowstone, down the mountain, the snow on either side of the road was easily higher than my minivan. We don't get near that much snow where I live in Canada.

I used to work with a guy from Maine. Where he lived the snow would get so high that they used those flags you usually see on dune buggies so you could see cars coming at an intersection. He used to laugh at all the old ladies who ran for home at the first flake.

It's hayfever season here and my body knows it. [:(][&o][X(] No snow, just rising temperatures. I don't like being really cold, but I'd prefer winter to a stinking hot summer any time.

Kimmie, how's school going?
