I wonder how long before they turn this option off. I remember that during the last forums switch we could do all kinds of neat stuff like banners and marquees, and then they clogged up the site and had to be turned off. I think I like this guy for the Lasagna brothers (Vito and Guido).

So far I mostly miss the text box at the bottom of the page. But I'm just ignoring the superficial stuff like the stars and score and stuff. I mean, who really cares any way?

I feel the same way about the stars and scoring and stuff. The sad thing about it is that "some" will take it personally or to heart. I just ignore that they're there too. I'm wondering does everyone else have a huge white space between the Forums Tool box at top and the beginning of the thread? Mine is that way causing a big scrolling to the messages, but I think it's because of the ad at the right. The length of white space is about the height of that ad. *sigh*

I don't have any big white space on my screen. I've been accused of having a big wide space somewhere else, though.

I decided not to pay any attention to the scoring...it's a game more than anything I think. I had about 15 at one point but some people did some messing around and knocked me down...lol! I think after awhile people won't bother to take the time to score...it's a novelty right now. I am lucky when I have time to read every post I want to read and reply, let alone score someone! I figure I come here to share with my freinds, not score or rank them. Besides, the second I venture into the parenting and give my ultra conservative views, my score will suffer irrepairable damage!

That's a bummer about work, Kimmy. School has been a battle too lately, so I understand in a way. Fridays are a good thing!

You need a vacation kimmie. Come to think of it, so do I. Oooh, and I'm gonna have one in July. I'm goin' to DC for at least 4 days, maybe longer. Got 2 box seats for the Mets vs. the Nationals! I can't hardly wait!!

Hey Kimmy, I have a question about your smileys. Will you eventually run into bandwidth problems on your site if so many smilies are linked from it? Or doesn't it matter with your service.

I could have them eventually, but my provider is very generous with bandwidth. If it gets into a danger zone I'll simply disable the pages. Not too difficult to do

Hello everyone!! Christine praying for your flight too. Darcy, I have been trying to catch up to you for a couple of days with comment about the Mac thing. I was pretty skeptical at first, especially about whether or not there would be problems with being able to upload pictures in posts or even the avatar thing. The more I get around here, the happier I am about the being able to succeed at it. My only thing that still bothers me is the huge gap of white space between my Forums tool box and the beginning of the thread. I know they are still working on a lot of things so I will still wait a bit before I go asking about it to see if it just corrects itself along the way. Kimberly, glad to hear that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with your job situation.
