Maybe this means they will sell the show to non-USA network stations still.

From the article:
quote:

Paramount has retained the right to sell the show simultaneously to TV stations in off-network syndication beginning in 2008.
That ancillary market has sprung to life in the past two years with the solid ratings performance of King World's reruns of "CSI."

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Does that mean it won't be on CBS anymore? We don't get USA here in Canada!!

Tricia, that article was for the reruns. that article was written over a year ago! I got fooled at first too. the first paragraph said it was on 3 years and I know it started in 2003. then I noticed the publishing date of the article.

quote:

The deal encompasses a five-year license term, starting with the first 88 episodes,

I don't think it means it will totally be moving to USA.

I have been seeing ads for new NCIS shows on USA in my area for the last week. I didn't notice the date of the article but it was referring to 2008 shows. I didn't see anything that implied it was reruns in the article even after a second look.

Here is the schedule on USA for January

and at tv.com you will see those shows have already aired on NBC

I have not been able to find any article that says USA will air new shows. Even in the article that is linked it says

The deal encompasses a five-year license term, starting with the first 88 episodes, which become available to USA in 2008.

USA likely will strip "NCIS" at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. when the reruns kick off; the series also could play in late afternoon and even at 11 p.m. down the road.

I'm not saying it will never happen, after all L&O CI moved, but the article isn't saying that USA will show first run episodes. CBS still has it up on their website as their show.

The local ads I've been seeing are on USA and they mentioned new episodes.

That's interesting. I'll have to pay attention.

I know they don't have any new episodes yet because of the writers strike.

Yeah - New CBS shows would not be running on USA (it is owned by the same parent company as NBC) but more likely to run on the CW network which is owned by CBS.

USA had new episodes of Law and Order, but those are NBC to start with.

watched most of it...not too keen on the ending. Whether or not they believe justice has been served it's their job to still stand up for the person killed, even if that person was scum.

Yeah, I saw it. I sort of figured out that Ducky would end up using an MRI scanner to help him do the autopsy, because I'd seen something similar on another show (Can't recall which one - sorry.). I'm also wondering how they would have treated any other religion's objections to the same thing. More than likely, they would have laughed it off as some sort of nut case ramblings, then gone ahead with it. One more thing: How did the father of the dead Marine got wind of where "The Recruiter" was ahead of Jethro?

Well, I'm assuming that the Dad is somewhere on the inside.

I think that Palmer's part in this episode was to speak for the majority of those who really wonder why everyone isn't treated the same.

Yep, watched it. Finally - a new episode!

At first I was thinking that Palmer would do the autopsy under Ducky's supervision, thus getting Ducky off on a technicality. But I was wrong.

yes, I was very happy! No previews of upcoming shows so I think this must have been the only one.

They did another show with that old guy who was Gibb's mentor who killed someone in the bar and Gibbs did nothing.

Since the dad allowed the FBI to bug his mosque, I assumed it was them who alerted him to the german.

I should've mentioned this earlier, but did y'all realize there was a new episode tonight?

We recorded it and haven't watched it yet.

I only got to watch part of last night's episode, because after I got through checking on my Mom (where I saw the show), when I got back to my f-i-l's place, he had on Turner Classic Movies and was looking at "Juggernaut." Bummer!! Oh well, at least I'll see it in re-runs.

Good episode last night. Some fun, some intrigue. My daughter was proud to have figured out "who done it" before it was revealed.

Yeah, we highly suspected that person from somewhat early on. That person's demeanor had a lot to do with it.

I was thinking about digging out this thread yesterday, but I didn't have time. Feels good to have new episodes back on. What do you think is going on with the director?
