Oh Lord, do I have any quality time left with mom????
She is confused. I had to go to her house tonight for my bro, and being in it alone was a shower of bittersweet memories, as I thought of the person she once was. Neat as a pin, perfectly groomed, spotless house.
Why do people have to deteriorate so much as they age? And why are some so lucky they barely change at all? My dad was weak, but sharp as ever when he died 3 years ago at 88. My mom is only 82, and totally different.
In Hindsight it was just a very hard thing to do right now.
Please bless this wonderful lady....one who always loved and prayed for me and my whole family.
In Jesus name, I do pray! Oh Father, I adore you and thank you for all that you do.

Lord I pray for this loving mother
I thank you Lord for the many years you have blessed her with.
Be with her Lord in her last years and hold her close.
Lord I pray she will have joy and happiness in these days
I pray as she looks at the children you have blessed her with in life she will rejoice for your goodness.
I pray Lord each day she will draw closer and love you more
Lord watch over this mother and keep her in your loving arms
May she always feel your presence even through her confusion.
Embrace her in your love and pour your grace upon her

Please strengthen Nan to cope with all her present difficulties.

Father,
Please be with mom as I continue to work 10 hour days, and feel like a zombie on the weekends.
I have practically nothing left to give to her....time, energy, real usefulness.
My brother continually calls and tries to pour guilt on me if I don't get to 'call him back' or if I don't go see mom enough.
He is retired and lives in the same town, and does nothing but sit and do stuff with stocks all day on the computer.
I love him, but I do not need his guilt.
My life is exactly 360 degrees different than his and my mom is his mom too. For about 45 years I did just the opposite.
Please help her Lord. She wants to go home after breaking her other hip and needs to have it heal.
She will never be happy anywhere at any time anyway, but home is a precious place to us all.
Bless her now God, I implore you to do this for her, not me.

Father, we just ask for patient and understanding all around. May PW's brother have conpassion for PW and for they're mom. May mom have an understanding heart for all that PW is going through. Meet each one's needs as You see is best and we thank You and praise You Lord. In Jesus name. Amen

Oh Father,
My heart is breaking for Nancy and her mom.
Lord, I am praying that you surround her mom with physical, mental, and spiritual peace. Help her to leave this earth with a clear conscience when her time comes, forgiving all from her past. If it is Your will, Father, please give Nancy quality time with her mom. Strengthen Nancy. She has been through so much and needs Your Grace now more than ever. Please open Nancy's brother's eyes so that he can show compassion and take a greater role in caring for their mom. Father, do not allow Satan to use her brother to bring discord. I pray for protection over all of them.

Dearest God, please be with Nan as she continues to work with and care for her mother. Bless her for her efforts and give her the strength to carry on in all she does. Give strength to her spirit and rest to her mind and body when she needs it. Lord, be with her mother so that things might improve for her both physically and mentally. Help her to be able to help herself more, and wrap your arms around her and let her know that you are near her. And God, please be with Nan's brother. Help him to see the harm that he is doing to Nan by nagging her all the time and laying guilt trips on her so that he might stop these actions. Also, if it is your will for him, please fill him with a desire to go and help his mother, too. Most of all, God, may all that is happening with Nan, her mom, and her brother, cause all three of them to draw closer to one another, as well as closer in their walks with you. I pray for all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Beloved Savior.

DEAR FRIENDS WHO HAVE LOVED AND PRAYED FOR MY MOM:
She has deteriorated badly. She still knows me. Her face lights up when she sees me.
She is so confused and so much weaker.
She can barely stand now.
But she clearly knows us 'kids'.
No one will probably ever look at me again, like my mom or bob did. (just thrilled to see me)
It is a joy and a terrible hurt to visit her and see her so incapacitated. SO sad.
Yesterday I took a huge box of Cadbury Christmas cookies and she immediately ate one.
Then she spent most of my time with her in the bathroom which is really forcing them to take her on this 'lift' contraption.
They are slow and never happy to do it, but do it because a family member is there.
I hate this place but frankly no one else would take her, because she is so weak and in such poor shape.
She does not get any way to stay strong, and honestly she always resisted PT and stuff anyway. She was her own worst enemy, because she thouught it was all 'work' and that she should not have to do it at her age.
I tried and tried to tell her that it would make her strong to go home again, but she just argued and would not do it. :(
I know I will have to give her up soon, too.
Wow.
Then I will have no parents and no husband. Heartbreaking.
Please pray for my mom, and all the little people there at the NH. Some never seem to have a visitor. They all seem confused and sad.
Father, please flood this NH and mom's wing with a choir of heavenly sweet angels, a heavenly prayer vigil of angels, and whisper Psalms and Hymns into the ears of their souls. Father, please let today be beautiful. Please send special care to mom each day, fresh and new.
Thank you Lord.
