Praise the Lord!!!! I just thought I would check in. I have to admit I am very disappointed about this so called presidential campaign. I first want to say I am not a Republican. I am not a Democrat. I am simply a believer in Jesus Christ. The One who shed His blood for me and has forgiven me for all of my sins. I am disappointed in all of the mudslinging between the candidates. I am disappointed that McCain picked someone simply to advance his political career. I am tired of all the "change" rhetoric. I am disappointed in all of the wishy washy thinking of some of these candidates. That is why it is even the more important to keep our leaders in prayer. I know the will of the Lord will be done. I pray that God will have mercy on this country. As for right now, I don't know where we our headed as a nation. Believers in Jesus Christ must stay focused upon Him. These are critical times that we are living in. I know none of today's happenings should take us by surprise. The Lord told us in His Word that these days will come upon us. And they are surely here. My prayer is that Believers will stand firm and put on the whole armour of God as stated in the Book of Ephesians. We must stand in the face of persecution as people become more hostile towards the things of God. But rememeber even in the midst of everything that is going on GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!! We must continue to witness to those that are still walking in eternal darkness. As Jesus said in Mattew 7 the road to destruction is broad. Let us use every opportunity to lift the name of Jesus. Also pray for those in the paths of the hurricane. Pray that God will have mercy on those who may be in danger of this storm. Loving Jesus Always and Forever.

Praise the Lord!!! Today was a pretty difficult day for me. I arrived to work around 8:30am and all of a suddent I said to myself " I don't want to be here today". It was one of those days when I didn't want to be bothered with anything or anybody. I was even crying while driving down the road. I immediatley told the Lord I am ready to go Home. Home meaning heaven. I get those days where I just want to be where the Lord is. Away from the cares, trials, and tribulations of this life. I have so many regrets. So many decisions I have made that weren't wise. And now I am suffering the consequences. What do I do? I continue to fight the good fight of faith. I have to make Jesus first in my life. Surely, Jesus knows my plight and He cares.

Praise the Lord!!!! Fall is almost here. Next week will be the official arrival of fall. Fall is my most favorite time of the year. I love to see the leaves change colors. I even love to rake the leaves!!! I enjoy the cool crisp air. It's not too hot nor too cold. You can tell fall is right around the corner. In my neck of the woods, it starts to get dark around 7:00pm. This year the time doesn't change until November. Read Psalm 148 and meditate on the Lord. It's appropriately titled in the KJV "Nature's praise of the Lord." Good night Everyone!!!!

Praise the Lord!!!! WOW!!! is all I can say. Things sure are getting crazier and crazier in the political world. I don't know much about politics, but I am getting a crash course on it through the media. I wonder are things as bad as the media says it is. Do the media "hype" situations up to instill fear and anxiety in the hearts of their viewers. Yes, the economy is bad, but things could be alot worse. Where is our nation/world headed. Do we look to a human being to bring us through these turbulent times? Do we think one human being is going to fix the corruption, greed, and lies of our government leaders? Is anybody trustworthy anymore? Are people looking to advance their own "agenda" at the expense of ordinary human beings working to provide for themselves and their families? These are some tough questions. Believers we must put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. We have to humble ourselves before the Lord. The Lord has promise to take care of His own. He hasn't given us a spirit of fear. Hang on to your faith in Jesus Christ. He will see us through the turbulent times.

Praise the Lord!!!! Top 10 Predictions No Matter Who Wins the Election 1. The Bible will still have all the answers.2. Prayer will still work.3. The Holy Spirit will still move.4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.5. There will still be God-anointed teaching and preaching.6. There will still be singing of praise to God.7. God will still pour out blessings upon His people.8. There will still be room at the Cross.9. Jesus will still love you.10. Jesus will still save the lost when they come to Him.. God has approved this message! Just thought I would share the above words. I got it off of another message board. This message just quickened my spirit when I read it. I still haven't decided who to vote for. I am leaning towards one candidate but still have many doubts. God willing I' ll make a decision by Nov. 4th. On another note, life is going ok. My fall classes will be over soon. Thankfully, I am passing both classes with A's and B's. Work is going ok. We are a little slow right now, so that means lots of downtime. I am still studying the Word of God. I love the Lord's Word. I am studying in the Book of Galatians. We are free in Jesus Christ!!!! Have A Good Evening Everyone!!!

Praise the Lord!!! I would like all who read my blog to lift me up in prayer to the Lord. I am going through a very difficult trial right now. Don't feel like going into specific details right now. But any ways, I would love for God to avenge my enemies. I remind myself that I am not wrestling against flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness in high places. I am doing all I can in the Lord's strength to love my enemies and be at peace with them. Please pray for me. Thanks everyone.

Praise the Lord!!! I have been down and out the last couple of weeks. I am dealing somone who appears not to like me. The hard thing is that I don't know why this person doesn't like me. I always try to treat this person nice and kind. I always try with the help of the Lord to act Christlike. It's so hard sometimes. The Lord tells us in His Word to love our enemies and to bless and not curse them. Of course, our fleshly nature likes to go against Jesus's Word. That's why the Lord states in His Word that the spirt and the flesh is constantly in ooposition to each other. What do we do when this happens? We depend on the Spirit of God to lead and guide us. We must be attentive to the Holy Spirit. We gain strength from the Lord. Who knows, maybe the Lord will use me to minister to this person. Maybe I will point this person to Jesus Christ? Maybe this person will repent of their evil ways. I don't know. But I do know that Jesus suffered. Now I can understand how Jesus must have felt when the people hated Him without a cause. I will continue to pray for this person and I will continue to pray that the Lord will uphold me. P.S. Pray for our country as we face the elections next week. Pray for our gov't leaders. Some of them fail to understand they will be accountable to God for how they rule.

Praise the Lord!!! History has been made. President Elect Obama is officially the first African American elected to be president. I am glad, but I also have a few reserves about Obama. Time will tell if the change he's been talking about is good or bad. One thing about it is that Obama has great big tasks ahead of him. He needs the prayers of the righteous to intercede for him. We are called to pray for those in authority whether we voted for the person or not. So let's commit to pray for our current and future president. On another note, today marks one year since my grandmother went to be with Jesus. She is no longer suffering and no longer in pain. I am anticipating the time when I can join Jesus, my grandmother, and all of the other saints in Heaven. Her death was kinda of bittersweet. I will never forget that cool crisp morning when the Lord called her home. She looked so at peace in her hospital bed. Thank You Jesus for the promise of Heaven!!!!!

Praise the Lord!!!! I am still hanging on only because of the grace of Jesus Christ. Things in my neck of the woods are getting pretty rough. There have been massive layoffs and massive foreclosures. There is definetly a shaking going on. I am not quite sure what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. Now is the time for christians to pray like never before. Enough of the "fluff" preaching. It's time to get an understanding of the Word and be not only hearers but doers of the Word. I am a little disappointed in my church setting where Obama is lifted up. Yes, he made history, but no he's not the Saviour of the world. We can never look to a mere human being to change the hearts and minds of the people. Only God can change the heart. He can clean and purify the heart and mind. I am praying for Obama, because he has a rough road ahead of him. But I refuse to put all my trust in him. My trust is in the only living and true God, Jesus Christ. Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Praise the Lord!!! Guys, please offer up a prayer for me. I have been feeling pretty bummed out. Things just don't seem to be working out. I was talking with my sister the other day and shared my feelings with her. I get tired of praying about the same things day after day year after year. I have been dealing with one particular situation for 4 yrs now. Nothing has changed. I get tired of the same old thing day after day. These kinda of days don't happen to me very often. But this time they are getting the best of me. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Also pray for our president elect. Many people are upset that he won the election, but he's going to be our president whether people like it or not. No one but God can change that fact. I read about what Al Quaid (sp) said about Obama. I would take these Al Quaida people seriously especially because of the 911 atttacks. Please pray for our current and future president.

Praise the Lord!!! I am awake bright and early this morning. I have to be at work by 8:00am. Yesterdsay I came home and saw a white hearse sitting in the entrance way of my apartment complex. I saw the police and people standing outside my neighbors door. Well, to my amazement the officials found my neighbor in his home dead. It had been reported that he had been dead for about 3 days. One of his family members kept trying to get in touch with him and finally got the landlord to let him in. They found my neighbor in his bed dead. I was so very shocked and sad. He was the nicest man you could ever meet. He about 75 yrs old and lived alone. I remember stopping to talking to him. He always looked out for the neighborhood and would often stop by to make sure everyone was ok. I know his family members are terribly saddened. No foul play is suspected. I will miss him dearly. His sudden death reminds me of how short life can be. Tomorrow or even the next second is promised to no man.

Praise the Lord!!! I went to church this morning. The pastor preached about being grateful not just one day during the year but all through the year. All it takes is for one to take a trip down memory lane. Do you remember when God healed your body? Do you remember when He saved you from eternal damnation? Do you remember when he helped you through what seemed like an impossible situation? Do you remember when He provided a way for you to pay your bills? Do you remember when you first heard His voice? Do you remember when you had no food he provided food for you to eat? Let's not get so caught up in our difficult sitautions, but let's take the time to thank, praise, and worship God for all that He has done. Where would be without Him? Psalm 92:1 (NLT) It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praise to the Most High. Psalm 92:4 (NLT) You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me!! I sing for joy because of what you have done.

Praise the Lord!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving holiday. I would usually go shopping on Black Friday, but this year I decided to skip the shopping. People act so crazy now days. A Wal-Mart employee was trampled to the point of death all because of so called out of this world sales. So Sad. I am praying for his family and I hope they sue the pants off of Wal-Mart. On another note.... I am still trying to serve the Lord. The past couple of days have been rough. But I am determined to experience the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I know God has not forgotten about me. He knows all about me. That fact brings me a little comfort. I hope everyone have a good night.

Praise the Lord!!! I can hardly believe Christmas is almost two weeks away. I have only bought two gifts. For some reason I am just not in the mood for Christmas. Usually this time of the year I am excited, but this year it's like oh well. I know this is the season we celebrate Jesus's birth. Other than that fact it's no big deal to me. Anyways....I am still trying to run this christian race. The past couple of days I have become frustrated with my life. I am frustrated with my walk with God. This morning I was listening to Joyce Meyer on TV. As I was walking out the door I believed I heard the words, "I am on your side'." These words seemed like they came out of "thin air". I knew right then it had to have been the Lord talking to me. With that I am a little more encouraged. The Lord always find a way to encourage those who are discouraged.

Praise the Lord!!! Today has been a pretty good day thus far. I don't have to work this afternoon which is a tremendous blessing. The human body needs time to rest. My mother is supposed to be cooking one of my favorite dishes this afternoon. Right now she is sound asleep. Hopefully she will make good on her word and cook. I have been thinking about the Lord lately. I have been thinking about my grandmother and uncle who passed away recently. I still can not believe they are gone. Some days I long to see them. The good thing is that both of them knew Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. I find comfort in that fact because I know I will see them again. For right now, I will keep running this christian race. Thank You Jesus for eternal life!!!!

Praise the Lord!!! I have finished all of my Christmas shopping. Now all I have to do is wrap my gifts and I am done!!! Remember in the midst of your holiday parties and shopping don't forget about Jesus. He is the real reason for the season. I am so glad He is my Savior. He is the only One I can put my hope and trust in. We had a glorious time at church on Sunday. Just to be in the midst of other saints praising God was wonderful. The world maybe heading in a downward spiral, but those who have put their faith in Jesus have the ultimate victory. Be encouraged!!! Have a Merry Christmas!!!

Praise the Lord!!!! Happy New Year to everyone. I spent the New Year's Eve at church. I could think of no other place to ring in the new year with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I found myself becoming anxious about the upcoming year. What's going to happen with my job? What's going to happen with this country? Will Obama be an effective president? Will the world continue to turn their backs on God? What's going on with Israel? I came to the conclusion that I do not know what the future holds. But I do know God is in control of every aspect of the future. I have decided to entrust an unknown future to a known God. I can't be worried about what's going to happen. I have to rest and abide in God. I prayed that God will help me to endure whatever may come my way. And I am sure all that will fully trust Him will have no worries. Have a Blessed New Year!!!

Praise the Lord!!! I hope everything is going well for everyone. Last night I was doing some web surfing on AIDS. I came to one particular site where women were sharing their stories of how they found out they were HIV positive. The stories were very sad and heart touching. Many of the women caught HIV through premarital sex, drug use, and some even caught the virus from their husbands. I began to have sympathy for these women. I was surprised some of them were very optimistic about their futures despite their diagnosis. Some even surrendered their lives to Christ as result of their diagnosis. I thought to myself God is willing and ready to accept those who are HIV positive even though the "world" may shun them. He is ready and willing to heal their bodies. God can forgive them of their sins. God is a merciful God. Just think what if God abandoned us b/c we failed to obey Him? Or what if what we did was so terrible that He would never accept us? I pray for those who HIV positive no matter how they contracted the disease. I pray that they will surrender their bodies to God. I pray that they will have the responsibility to inform their mates of their status. AIDS is a big disease, but not too big for our God.

Praise the Lord!!! I am back again with this scripture: Hebrews 10:38 But we are not of them who draw back into perdition but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. The Lord gave me this statement in reference to the above verse: In it to Win It!!! We don't go back into the lifestyle of sin. We run this race to the very end inspite of our troubles, distresses, and obstacles. The just shall live by faith.

Praise the Lord!!!! I am thanking God for just being God. He is Supreme over everything. He is the Ruler of the universe. Who would dare try to come against God Almighty? The Lord is revealing Himself to me day by day. I had a pretty rough day yesterday, but the Lord let me know He is still with me. I was reading the Book of Joshua the first chapter. Moses was dead and now Joshua was to lead the people to the Promised Land. I can only imagined that Joshua needed a Word from the Lord. The Lord assured Joshua that just as He was with Moses He would be with Him. The Lord told Joshua to be strong and courageous and to mediate upon the Word day and night. After the Lord exhorted Joshua, then the people of Israel also told Joshua that they would listen to Joshua as they listened to Moses. The people also exhorted Joshua to be strong and of good courage. I can imagine the Lord telling His people today the same thing He told Joshua. When the tasks before us seem so difficult we are to gain our strength from the Lord. We never give up just as Joshua never gave up.

Praise the Lord!!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic evening. I just want to take a moment to ask you all to pray for president elect Obama, vice president Biden, and the remaining Obama administration. I know many of you didn't vote for Obama, but it is our responsibility of born again believers to pray and intercede for him and his team. Pray that God will give him wisdom. Pray that the Lord will surround him with Godly counsel. Pray that God will shield and protect him from all hurt, harm, or danger. Pray that he will serve with honest and integrity. Pray that he will humble himself and seek the Lord. Pray that he will understand and know that Jesus is the only way to eternal salvation. Pray that he will allow Jesus to have full reign of his life. Pray that God will show him how to handle the country's economic situation. Thank you in advance for your prayers concerning this matter. God is in control and I thank Him for being Alpha and Omega. The only Wise and Eternal God.

Praise the Lord!!! I have been shut in the house for two days now. We had a snow storm that began on Tues. morning. The schools were closed and many businesses were also closed. I have just been napping on and off for two days. Believe it or not I am ready to go back to work!!! I was reading in the Book of Hebrews this morning chpt. 11 verse 5. This particular verse pointed to Enoch and how God translated him to heaven without dying. Enoch was known by his faith in God. And then I was lead to Genesis chpt 5 verses 22-24 with special emphasis on verse 24 which reads: And Enoch walked with God..... That basically meant that Enoch had a close relationship with God. Enoch no doubt loved the Lord with all of his heart and was careful to obey his commandments. I thought about when we (particularly myself) depart this earthly life what kind of legacy will we leave behind? Will we be known as a person who "walked" with God. Will people remember how we put our trust in the Living God when the going got tough? Will people remember how we stood out from the crowd? Will they remember how we would share our faith in God? Will they remember how we constantly interceded for our nation and rejoiced when people gave their lives to Christ?
