Yep. I'm in the time zone of "I need a new job"...

It is hard to find the time, but I'm addicted so I find some. Now, trying to crochet with 3 cats and a doggie can be it's own challenge...

My grandmother used hooks.

For the yarn or the animals?

Ever have a day where all the things that you knew were going to happen and knew were going to fall apart but no one listened to you because you are "just the bookkeeper" and not some "big wig" happened. Then, being the bookkeeper, it's your job to clean up the mess and figure out how to make it work? All when you are buried to your eyeballs in year end work?

Have I ever mentioned how much I need a new job? Have I mentioned how much my jaw hurts from clenching my teeth? Have I mentioned why I have been clenching my teeth? Have I mentioned how certain leaders in my church better steer clear of me for a while or I will speak in a most un-Christian manner to them right now? Have I ever mentioned that lack in integrity in leaders really ticks me off?

...And now back to your regularly scheduled program...

Phosy -- perhaps you should arrange a sit down discussion with someone about what's going on there.... you should not have to do other people's work plus your own.

On a whole different subject -- what are y'all fixing for dinner? I'm making some rotisserie chicken and some mashed potatoes... beyond that, I'm stumped.

Funny ... you don't look like the remains of a chopped down tree ...

Pork chops with applesauce tonight, and most likely sweet tators as a side.

New update on Hanna --- the storm is still at 60 mph but moving about 17 mph N-NW and heading for the Carolinas.

Well, I would humbly suggest that anyone who is going to "stay put" start now on the stocking up on bottled water and other essentials.... just in case.

My chicken is done; my mashed taters are done. I made some gravy and some biscuits. Guess that will have to do for this time. I need to make a market run for fresh veggies. Can't abide canned stuff. Except for Bush's Baked Beans... those I love.

Talk to y'all later... gonna eat (I know its early but we have music lessons and church tonight -- have to eat early if I'm going to make it to other stuff)....

The problems are the result of the bosses though... They make decisions and don't want to hear there might be problems if they implement them the way they do. Then, when everything falls apart, we little peons have to pick up the pieces even though we knew this was going to happen in the first place...

Ugh. Oh well, in just over 2 weeks I have my oral boards - I just confirmed my appointment yesterday. Hopefully even now God is working out a new job for me.

I hope you get what you are dreaming of, Phosy. And I hope your dream doesn't turn into a nightmare... . If you get on at the prison/jail -- do they start newbies out on night shift?

Thanks. As far as shifts - everyone does all shifts. 6 weeks on days, 6 weeks on nights. That will be really hard for me to get used to but at least the schedules are consistent. I've done shift work and I've done the Monday through Friday thing. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

It might be even harder for your critters to get used to the night shifts...

I don't know - they'll probably love it - me being awake when they are awake and not yelling at them to knock it off when they do their 2am races through the house when I'm at work....
