I've just started a new job on Monday and have to learn lots and lots of material in a very short period of time. I don't have the world's greatest memory - so I got a little bit of a dressing down yesterday about not having some things memorized (it is just the nature of this type of job I think - you have to learn quickly and be able to think on your feet - which I didn't know until - you guessed it - yesterday.). So, I prayed and worked and prayed and worked - through the night. I thank God that I was able to memorize the songs and dance routine and execute what I've learned today (albeit with some mistakes). I still have a lot to learn tonight and I am SOOO tired. But I'm thankful and just taking it day by day. Plus the weekend is coming so I'll have a lot of time to try to get ahead. So I'm thankful - I've almost made it through the first week.

Rgod, I've been wondering what happened to your new job. That's wonderful! Anything new can always cause some anxiety and it's perfectly normal. You'll be a pro in no time! I'm thankful that I was able to find a sitter for my pet. My neighbor backed out last minute, and I scrambled to find kennels all over the place, even 600 km away from home (it's on the way towards my destination). My friend agreed to look after Mr Jones (my cat) and I insisted to pay him. What a relief. I thought I'd have to take my cat hiking through the mountains with me, lol. I'm so thankful that I'm finally on vacation and we leave tomorrow. My fear and apprehension went away. For some reason, I felt scared about the road trip though I've driven those distances before. I prayed and prayed for God to take away my fear, and today, I felt at peace. AND EXCITED!

I'll be praying that you have a good vacation and a safe trip! Have fun! rgod

Just dropping in quickly to say what I'm thankful for today. A-hem.... Today is my birthday. I'm thanking God for one more year, family and friends with whom to celebrate and share the day. Thank you crosswalk for the birthday greetings. Can't stay long. Have to leave and won't be able to check back till tonight. (Oh, for the birthdays when I use to stay at home and relax without a care.) Oh well, maybe next year please God.

I'm still thanking God that my job doesn't drain me so much emotionally anymore. I love getting to the weekend and not feel the need to hide out anymore and the desire to get back out and enjoy time with my friends and family again. It's wonderful!
