Chicka ... One of the toughest things in the world is to go through that kind of heartache. I am very thankful that God has given you such a tender heart that longs to be where He knows is best for you. Sometimes we cannot see what He sees, and the tears cloud our vision in the same way the clouds cover the sun from our view, but we can know that the sun is still glowing brightly behind those clouds in the same way the Son is shining through in our lives.

You are a worship leader, so you will probably appreciate this. I was going through a time where I could not stop crying anytime I sang praise and worship. I was the main vocalist on our worship team, so you would think that would be a problem. Somehow, though the tears would flow down like a river (making my shirt sopping wet by the time I was through!!!), the notes remained clear. I one day realized that when we choose to worship through our pain, we really touch the heart of the Father. We are not standing there in the heavenlies, and cannot see Him the way the angels see Him. Our view is clouded on our best days. But on the days when our world is crashing in, and we cannot see or feel His hand in our lives. Those times when we feel most abandoned and alone, yet we choose to worship the King with all that we have ... those are the times He is touched and though we may not see or feel His presence in that moment; He is tenderly loving us and grateful that we are His own.
I am grateful that you lead others to worship even when it is tough.

Psalms, thank you so much for this...it really touched my heart! Especially the parts in bold. Thank you for being willing to share the time that you were having trouble with crying, I bawled like a baby every single service this week, but I could still sing...funniest thing is they had all the worship leaders come down and pray for them and I started crying uncontrollably, and one of my friends who is not big on hugs at all, comes over and wraps his arms around me and tells me that even though I might not be able to see God's plan at the moment, God does have a plan for my life and to never, ever forget that! And after he said it, he said it must have been God that made him do that, 'cause all he was going to do was pat me on the back and say it'll be okay... Funny how God works like that...

Thankful that God is keeping my heart broken and soft, waiting for the day that the promises that my heart holds will come to pass, two of them did in the last year, but there is one more that I long to hold in my hands and not just in my heart...

I found out today that I have termites! Actually the house has termites!

I'm thankful that there is NO DAMAGE to the house! PRAISE GOD!

I'm thankful that the exterminator is someone I know. He's a good Christian man who I can trust.

I'm thankful that there will be enough in my tax refund to pay for it!

I'm thankful that:

1. The move went well,
2. I'm now half an hour closer to work,
3. Our biggest customer has finally started placing orders again.

I now have three clients and a fourth who is interested in using my services ... (woo hoo!)

I was able to play a character I enjoyed ...

A friendship that I have is going to a much deeper level - and I'm glad about it ...

Today I can thank God that I'm learning to let Him cover my mouth sometimes :)

And thankful that He can overcome all - even teaching a silly, hot-headed woman like me some wisdom and discernment. :)

And last but certainly not least - that Jesus did what He did. Every Easter I always feel a little sad from Friday through Sunday morning, even though I know it is FINISHED ... but I love the renewed feeling of His miraculous rising every Easter Sunday!

I am thankful for his loving arms being around me, and never letting me go!

I am thankful for answered prayers!

I am thankful for awesome friends!

I am thankful for God putting me right where he wants me and providing for me even before I know what I need!

I am thankful for God showing me that the only approval I should ever seek is from him and what that looks like and if I can't see it to ask him to reveal it to me. I am thankful for him showing me how dangerous it is to perform just to receive the approval of men and exactly how suttlly this can be done and not realize it. Thank you for opening my eyes! Lord please forgive me! Lord help me to always have the right attitude and focus when serving you! Lord help me to be a selfless servant like tool in your loving hands!

Me too.

I'm also thankful that I've never been wrongly convicted of a crime on foreign soil! Or anywhere! Not that I've ever done anything illegal.
