Sounds like you're both really busy.
Yesterday afternoon we went out grocery shopping for supplies. Tonight we had 7 people arrive from Wales to come and see us. Their plane was due in at 10.40pm, so we haven't seen them yet, but should later on this morning.
After church today, our household went into overdrive. Joan and I were both baking and then we all made some Shepherd's pies for Tuesday night. With meat being so expensive in the UK, I'm making them pork and beef roasts tonight.

I try not to have too active a social life, it impacts on my chill-out time and time at home. This weekend I'm heading over to Marion Bay for a week with Jesse & another friend. It should be fun...Jesse really needs holidays!
My friend that I'm going to Marion Bay with tried out for Australian Idol yesterday...she made it through the first 2 auditions and gets to audition in front of the judges on Tuesday!! So that's exciting...and will be even more so exciting if she gets to go to Sydney!!

It's Foundation Day weekend over here this weekend. I don't have any plans for the long weekend, other than to go to church on Sunday.
Does anybody else have any plans for the weekend?

I was away at Marion Bay the last week, it was beautiful weather. We came back a day early (today) as Jesse got bored...he just can't relax. He can't wait to go back to work on Monday.

At the very foot on the Yorke Peninsula in SA. We were literally 50metres from the boundary of the Innes National Park.

HI Peoples (i was goign to say girls but didnt want to eliminate guys:)
I was on here some time ago but with dial up i dont go here very often, but i thought i would check in and say gday and hows it going.
Im home now on parental leave after adopting my son 3 months ago. Things are settling down, we have had some hard times but we are going into better times now. He is such a delightful, bundle of energy with lots of chatter (i think he gets the chatter part from me) but he certainly keeps me on my toes. And winter is finally gone and so we are enjoying the heat (or cold of air conditioning ) and the outdoors. Gets pretty muggy too but i am enjoying the sweating ;)
All is all life is good and i hope you are all doing just fine too

HI girls
motherhood is challenging but i think the hardest part was that we werent very well prepared. He wasnt and nor was I. If i could do it again i would try to prepare him much better and i would do some major reading about toddler adoption before he came home. THe course was a 10 week almost complete waste of time. In the meantime over the last 6 months we have had 4 children die amongst our group of friends so that is also taking its toll.
Not to be all negative though - he is really developing well. He is a wonderful well adjusting kid who has come thru tough times - medically - and is still smiling. He is a delight to anyone who meets him, he puts a smile on more faces in church than i could imagine doing in a day. I love him mostly when he is asleep - then man he is so really cute and beautiful. We are having some wonderful days outside and he loves the outdoors, although i have to work a little more with slip, slop and slap.

Joyce, sorry to hear about the deaths in your group, and the hard times you've been experiencing.
Like you said though, that little boy is going to bring a whole lot of joy. Certainly something to look forward to.

It's annoying that they take so long to come through. My grandma had to wait an extra 3 days (on top of 2 weeks) for her results because of the long weekend.

Hey Trish, I'm doing good actually. Work has been busier than normal. My boss is over at our Perth office and it's still busy around here in Adelaide. Normally when he's away it's our catch-up time. How have you been?
