G'day and kia ora all others
I spent last night reading/catching up on this forum (some of it at least - I fell asleep at a late hour) but noticed that you and trish have had more than a fair share of doctors. Well, Jesus is the Great Physician and hope in Him is rewarding, thwarting all those negative thoughts that would drag us down even to the grave. AT 67 I know.
as it is written:-
Prov. 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
After awhile, the name of the Lord becomes a defensive shield for us and we exercise ourselves by holding it up before the enemy.
Neither can I depend upon my own "righteousness", but His, that is for sure!

What's the temperatures supposed to be like for you for Christmas? The last I heard, it was supposed to be 28 here. Better than the 35 they had originally been predicting.

Kia ora!
We spent our Christmas morning the same way we do every year ... opening presents and then reading THIS book.
We also read THIS. (It's one of the kids' favourites)
And now our family is eagerly awaiting our package from our former Kiwi exchange student. She usually includes some Caramilk, Dairy Milk, and even some Milo ... but our favourite item in the package is ... ROSY GLOW!!! I *love* that chocolate ... especially the Black Forest, and Cinnamon varieties.

Man, I'd rather have cooler temperatures right now. We've got consistent temperatures in the high 30s. I'd rather be looking at snow.

HI Cherish
life is going much better. It has been a rough year esp emotionally but I am starting to feel more sociable again. My little boy is doing great, he is happy, developing well, eating better ( i backed off from pushing him so much), and sings all day long. We still have our off days, although i think its more me than him. He is such a treat and so much fun - when I have energy. He has more life and energy than a kid with a heart problem should have but thats my boy. We are still waiting for the finalization and once that is done we hope to move back to the old country to be closer to my family.
Please do enjoy the heat or otherwise take a hike over here - you will definately cool off - windchilll of -15 (thats 15 degrees below 0 C) which I will gladly enchange with you. I cant wait to send him outside in shorts and t-shirt esp as his circulation isnt great, so he goes blue pretty quick. i am always doing a lip check

Joyce, just thought I'd let you know that it was over 38 degrees today. The state maximum today was 49 degrees. I couldn't imagine being somewhere that hot! I'm struggling with the temperatures we're having in the 30s.

What sort of temperatures have you guys been getting? Our overnight minimum was 22.8C and our temperature today ended up being hotter than forecasted. It got up to 41.9C! Too hot! When are the cooler temperatures coming back?

Did you do anything special for Australia Day? Have a get together with friends or anything?
We didn't do anything. I'm having a hard time recovering from a couple of outings I had to do last week. I'm finding that not only do I have fibromyalgia, but I'm so tired nowadays, that I'm sure chronic fatigue has hit too. They are both part of the same thing.

My little laddie and I went to enjoy some more enjoyable temps ( as in higher than 0 degree temps ) with another aussie friend and her baby in a bird aviary in Niagara Falls. So we walked around in what seemed like outisde air without jackets - definately worth the money and drive.
(I know it wasnt a holiday here so I hope you dont mind my contribution.) we hope to celebrate it more in style with a devonshire tea with about 30 other aussies on Saturday and so looking forward to that too :)
