I recently read "Surprised by Christ" by James Bernstein, a founding member of Jews for Jesus. I highly recommend it.

I'm currently reading a set of homilies by John Chrysostom (4th century) on marriage and family life.

I'm reading How Clean Is Your House. Also, Knickers in a Twist, a book of British slang. Both are fun, light reading.

I'm a children's librarian, so I also read kid's book. Right now I am reading Finding Belle Prater, which is too good to leave just for the kids. I just finished listening to Number the Stars on CD, and am about to start listening to The Bridge to Terrabithia. Spelling?

My wife just gave me Medusa for my anniversary gift. She wanted to get me more, but I told her that I'm content with just the latest book by my favorite secular author. I haven't started on it yet, as I just got it last night, but I know that I'll love it.

Oh, I just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. This book is a must read. It is soooooo good. And their 'society' is so much like the kind of relationships we should see in the church.

Now reading "Bone Song" by John Meaney. It is a fictional story set in a parallel earth where the living interact with the undead. Pretty interesting so far, adventurous with a subtle humour.

Excellent book. I hope to get my Lewis collection out of storage soon.

Tuesday or maybe Wednesday I expect to start The Halfling's Gem, book three of RA Salvatore's Icewind Dale Trilogy. Then I'll be able to read for a long while without having to suffer Salvatore's style again.

Excellent book. You can't go wrong with C.S. Lewis.

Reading The Fall by Albert Camus for a third go around.

God bless

Sister of Mercy - a short bio of a nun who came to know the Lord. I read the introduction yesterday, looks like it will be a good one.

They are good. I don't have much time to read these days and I like her books because I can put them down and not have a hard time figuring out where I left off.

Feelings and Faith by Dr. Brian Borgman.

This book is so very much needed, and when i picked this book up, the very beginning of it gripped me, and i had barely begun. Pastor Borgman puts into perspective the reality that we are truly human and that God has given us real human emotions. on one hand people say that feeling should be ignored and that they have no place nor function in faith, on the other hand most people put far too much emphasis on emotions, making them the end all driving force to our faith... both views are explained and properly disputed in the book. Dr. Borgman does an excellent job showing his readers how to "cultivate godly emotions" and to put to death those emotions that are dishonoring to God. This is a fantastic book, a must read for every believer.

8th Confession by James Patterson

I think this was the best of the series so far.

I'm reading "The Collected Short Fiction of Robert Sheckley, Vol. 3", Sheckley is one of the founders of modern science fiction, and a genius.

A thought first: ever consider how many of us actually read? You here all these things about folks not reading in the US and yet you see this line upon line of Christians opening books and enjoying them. Maybe because so much of what passes in Hollywood as entertainment misses us completely?

Just sp[ot-read MacArthur's Faith Works for another forum. Daily on the Lucado Grace for the Moment. Hustling God by M. Craig Barnes.

Did you notice, too, how many of us re-read books. Thanks, Mr. Lewis.
